According to Gigwise.com, LED ZEPPELIN's "Stairway To Heaven" is expected to make its debut in the UK singles charts this Sunday.

The song '” which originally appeared on the band's untitled forth album 36 years ago '” features on the group's digitally remastered greatest hits compilation, "Mothership", which was released in the UK on Monday, November 12.

The song, which despite its popularity never received a release as a single, currently stands at No. 56 on the midweek singles charts and is expected to climb higher before the weeks end.

A number of the band's songs are expected to feature on this week's singles countdown since a change to the chart's rules allowed downloads to become chart eligible.

Interest in the band has continued to grow since they announced their one-off show at the O2 Arena in London on December 10.

Not really, we have cars and everything in the north these days, so I would probably just drive down. 16

ccording to Gigwise.com, LED ZEPPELIN have been in negotiations to headline next year's Glastonbury Festival, it has been reported.

The rock legends have apparently been in talks with Glastonbury head Michael Eavis about the mouth-watering prospect. They have even give the Worthy Farm owner a price for performing at the June event.

Despite the early talks, NME.com claims that the negotiations have broken down after the rock outfit's representatives named too high a price, prompting Eavis to pull out.

Glastonbury, of course, has a capped fee that they are willing to pay artists '” unlike many other major UK festivals.

If LED ZEPPELIN do eventually sign up, expect Glastonbury to sell out in a nanosecond.

Legendary LED ZEPPELIN frontman Robert Plant was interviewed by UK's Channel 4 News on Tuesday (November 20) about the band's upcoming reunion gig and his collaborative album with Alison Krauss. Watch the four-minute report below.

THE CULT frontman Ian Astbury reportedly announced during a show in Cincinnati, Ohio on Saturday (November 17) that his band will support LED ZEPPELIN on a 2008 tour.

According to an MTV.com report, Astbury told the crowd, "We'll be back next year because we're opening for a band you may have heard of ... the name starts with an 'L' and has a 'Z' in it." After a fan shouted, "LED ZEPPELIN," Astbury nodded and raised his arm in the air.

According to Billboard.com, a spokesperson for THE CULT had no comment on Astbury's remarks. A LED ZEPPELIN spokesperson could not be reached at deadline.

However, there is growing speculation that ZEPPELIN, who will perform a one-off Dec. 10 show in London in tribute to the late Ahmet Eretgun, will indeed tour next year, with or without THE CULT.

It is understood that conversations have already taken place to gauge the willingness of surviving bandmates Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones to hit the road, and there are unconfirmed reports that U.S. venues have already been approached about holding summer dates

This concert would be one like none of us has ever seen.  You have a band here who is still relevant after four decades.  It would literally be months before tickets didn't sell out almost immediately.

MonstersAndCritics.com reports that LED ZEPPELIN have denied they are planning a world tour in 2008.

The legendary rockers claim "no decision has been made" as to whether they will follow up their comeback concert at London's O2 arena on December 10 with a globetrotting series of shows.

I think its already set in stone but they don't want to waste the buzz before they are ready. Cult singer Ian Astbury let it slip at a recent show that The Cult would be opening for Zep on a world tour.

It makes me wonder if that will put The Cult's status as opener in jeopardy.

Yahoo! Music conducted an interview with LED ZEPPELIN members John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page about the group's reunion show at the O2 in London on December 10. The guys talked about how the reunion about, the passion and the intensity that is still there for the band, Jimmy's fractured little finger, Jason Bonham filling in for his long-deceased father John, how they are getting along, and finally making the ZEPPELIN catalog available for digital download.
