Re: Foo Fighters to start work on new album this week, Dave Grohl confirms
White Limo, Bridge Burning, Walk, These Days, Dear Rosemary, I Should of Known (extremely heavy lyrics with Krist guest pounding on the bass). I could go on. A ton of power in those recordings.
I Should Have Known was great, if not, one of the best on Wasting Light. Sounds like Dave finally exorcising his emotions over Kurt's death.

Oh I concur. Having Krist on the track and Butch's commentary during the doc kind of confirmed that too. At times it can be hard to listen to because of the emotional content in the lyrics.

Maybe while Dave is working on that, he can have some time to get a few shows together with Sir Paul, Krist, and Pat. Just a thought, Just a really good idea that needs to fucking happen.
Hell fuckin' yeah it does.
Re: Foo Fighters to start work on new album this week, Dave Grohl confirms
(Gibson) Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins spoke to Billboard on the state of the band's next album, the follow up to 2011's Wasting Light. According to Hawkins, the album is in the planning stages by Foo Fighters main man Dave Grohl.
"Dave has his brain working overtime, like usual, and he's got a lot of great ideas, both musically and conceptually -- none that I can speak of at this moment, but it's gonna be great. It's gonna be cool."
Hawkins also suggested that he believes that the band's best work is still ahead of them, saying: "You always want every one of them to be the best one you've ever done, and you always think you haven't done your best one.
"Although some people may feel we have, I still think we haven't written our 'Hotel California' or our 'Bohemian Rhapsody' or whatever. Every time you start a record, you have to be, like, ready to [expletive] kill yourself or it's not gonna be any good."

I wouldn't rush this next album. If wanted to take more of a hiatus, I don't mind. Especially since that couple year gap from the new songs on the Greatest Hits and Wasting Light was well worth it in spades. I'm glad they are getting out ideas out there and planning a couple things out. Hope they work with Butch again. Taylor has the right attitude and yes I know they can make songs even better than the last album which is going to be tough to top. Wish them the best of success.
