The funny thing is, it' well known a tiny MTV's budgets are. The moment a show becomes a hit and they have to start paying the creators more money, they cancel it. They literally cancel a show when it becomes a success becaue they won't pay the money to keep it on the air. That's why the shows have such a quick turn around.

MTV went downhill when the original creators left and Viacom took over.
