I nearly did the same thing in 93 with UYI era GNR...was scared to go as a shy kid...thankfully my father talked me into it...hell even paid for it.....despite his hatred of rock music....
Thank god I did....got to see Axl/Slash together and it changed my life.
I would totally go. Hell I wanna go anyway but from Australia it's not really in my price range factoring in the plane...but if anywhere reasonable I would go.

Man. That's a show I do envy! The only way I could have made that show was someone irresponsibly taking a 3rd grader... found the band in high school in the 2000s, as I imagine many many many others have.
I just torrented more and more 90's shows (including some South American soundboards I hadn't heard before)... and wow, it was a great, great, great sounding band.
And so, this is why I try to get every show I can.
I myself wasn't considering this show.. but *my* father called me up and asksed about GNR tonight. Haha.

For me, whenever GNR does come near my area! This will be my first chance seeing any member of Guns past or present live! So I'll be happy either way! Maybe get a chance to chat and meet one of the current members. It would be a dream to rock out in an arena instead of seeing a live show in front of a computer screen, soundboard, or media file. I do hope they play a few rare selections when the opportunity arises.

At some point, I'll have my last GNR show, and Axl will have his last show.
My mother always told me the story of my grandmother wanting to see Elvis in Indiana - only a 3 hour drive. My mother said "oh, mom, he'll be back again." Only he wasn't. That was the last one.
Morbid, but, hey. I won't make the mistake I made in 2002 "It's during school! I'll wait for the summer..."
Yeah, when GN'R :peace:played the UK in 2002 I was skint. I thought, "eh, they'll come back again, this is just round one."
Now I'm probably never going to see Buckethead live.

Not sure if this was posted, but an interesting article on the Vegas residency that provides some details on what it means and the advantages of doing this. The thing that struck out to me was that this isn't just playing the Joint 12 times. GN'R is taking over the entire Hard Rock Hotel and Casino from a branding perspective. As much turnover as Vegas has, it sounds like a way to reach a lot of people.
