I'm smarter than most people and while I may have heard of it, I have no specific recollection of it. Of course I don't put a lot of stock in religions in general. I may be a lot of things, but ignorant isn't one of them. Nor is being a religious intolorant since I completely respect people's rights to believe whatever religion they choose to believe.
It happened on a Sunday in the middle of the Olympics (and in the middle of a 50th anniversary celebration for my wife's family). It wasn't high on my list of priorities. It's still not, though I certainly feel for those lost and the families that are suffering for no good reason. I don't endorse one mass killing over another and it's somewhat insulting that you're implying that I (we) do.

And let's face it, a man attacking a packed movie theater on the debut night of a gigantic movie where 70 people are shot is just like a scene taken out of a Hollywood script.

i think it speaks volumes that an attack on middle class suburban america gets not only it's own thread on here by comparison but an entire media furore & debate, but an attack aginst Sikh religion get's relegated to below Usain Bolt, the Mars rover or whatever other piddly-dick stories are doing the rounds.
i was actually gonna post the story on here before i went to bed last night, but i was interested to see the reaction for myself.
p disappointed tbh.
maybe it's just fatigue.....
maybe it's cause the gunman died & doesn't hold as much interest.
or maybe it's something else..it's not just you guys or the American media. it's all but disappeared from the press over here too.
just interesting what makes the news..

ha! & i don't mean to imply anything of the sort. i'm just curious as to how & what makes the news is all.
believe me i could give a shit about your priorities. i don't mean that in a bad way. what i mean is, i'd say my opinion on these subjects could be more offensive to you whatever it is you think i'm implying. at the very end of i basically don't give a shit! the news of today will be the movies of tomorrow after all. i'm just interested in how people react is p much all that i'm saying.

As I mentioned prior, I get most of my morning news from CNN Headline News each morning. It's a very, very light news program and they are still talking about it heavily each morning.
Also, I'm sure this speaks volumes about me, but the reason I chose this show initially is because this is the anchor:
