I have to say, I always think of Heaven first and Down Boys second when Warrent is mentioned, but I know I'm in the minority.

After my pc system restore awhile back I never added the couple warrant songs I used to have that I thought were ok. I know people have raved on some of that heavier Warrant material post Cherry Pie, even by members here like Russ. I'm downloading their discog right now and will finally give those albums a listen. One major turnoff to those albums at the time is how people said they were trying to copy Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, etc. to try and fit into the scene at the time.

Now looking forward to hearing this stuff.

That's how it came across to me too. Basically almost all the rock bands either tried to be grunge (Warrant & Motley Crue), industrial (GN'R & Faster Pussycat), or some just went to being a blues band (Poison & Ratt).

The last thing anyone was doing, was what they were doing before.

Old friend of mine from her FB :

"Ok Skid Row and Warrant are playing at center stage on Sept 15, but when I looked at the picture of the bands it is minus a few key members of both bands.
...Would kind of be like watching Guns and Roses with Slash and Axel and Duff just not the same."

Actually the key difference is, a Guns N' Roses with Axl, Slash & Duff - could still sell out stadiums. These guys are lucky if they can fill a theater 1/3 full.

Neither of these bands are anywhere even close to their original form. I've heard Warrant minus Jani, and Skid Row minus Baz, NOT LIVE, mind you, and they both were pretty terrible. Skid Row was especially horrendous.

Either way - hope you enjoy yourself, best of luck at the show and good to see you around again.
