Good for Bret. Even though his solo albums suck.

Crue apparently plays music for the 'coolness' of it. roll

Tickets start Sat. I got email from crew website to hit presale and a T shirt. But Poison was half the draw and they are not mentioned for my closest show. I understand Vince sounds like shit live from the boots i have watched. I may end up flipping a coin to decide if I will go.  I have no clue who NY dolls are.

Honest question here- has Vince EVER sounded good live? I haven't seen evidence of it yet. I can tell you the one time I saw him live (solo) his voice was weak and thin. He seems to rely a lot on a falsetto or maybe head voice that he doesn't really have.

Good question! I will try to find some good live vocal shows over the years and will post good or bad what i come across. I was a fan @ 12 years old Dr Feel good was out. I had the cassette, the black feelgood shirts I wore 2-3 times a week, and a big long earring cross earring and a mullet! 16

Motley crue playing Live wire, at the Us festival '83  (hes off imo)

Motley Crue "Home Sweet Home" - 10-15-87 - Tacoma, WA
(Vince near vocal prime IMO)

Motley Crue - Same Ol' Situation (live 1989) Kansas City
( 9 )

Motley Crue - Kickstart My Heart (live 1990) Auburn Hills
(spot on whole band could have been studio overdub till 1:40ish)

Vince Neil - You're Invited (But Your Friend Can't Come) Live
(spot on ! 22)

Motley Crue 6.4.05 Rock am Ring Nürburgring, Germany
( lower the vocal and raise the guitar and its good festival rock)

Mötley Crüe - Girls, Girls, Girls Carnival of Sins tour(2005-2006).
This clip turns me on ! The vocal works and looks like a great show! Im willing to over look being out of breath some if they put on a good show! Good fan and band interaction.

The Crüe performs Saints of Los Angeles on the Late Show with David Letterman (2008) (I hear live wire and your invited in this song, ok voacal until he pushes up)

Dr Feelgood & Concert Opening - Motley Crue - Live in Chicago on July 22, 2009  (vocals like this put me on the fence)

IN closing While watching these videos I remembered that i really like the Crew and have for most of my life! I will put away the bullshit, Grab a bottle of jack and coke to drink on the ride up (155miles) and have a good fuckin time 5  Has Vince EVER sounded good live? Hell yes!

Any of you heard this?

That version of Saints of LA on Letterman sounded pretty awesome...very close to the studio considering it's live.

I think vince gets a lot of shit for vocals that's undeserved....I don't deny he's often off, but to me Motley music is about rocking and having a party and so on - and the band delivers that in spades.

You know like a song like "Dr Feelgood" you're not suposed to be listening going "that's a C# not a D he just hit" you're supposed to be rocking to that drum beat etc...

I mean obviously if he hacks it up too far that's different...but it's sort of a loose musical form I think...a bit of screaming and yelling is fine.
