WYB is good but more than a little fanciful, even w/the colourful world of GnR. prob the best GnR book i've read.
W.A.R. is total trash.. horrible..
RR is BRILLIANT but it really only covers AFD. marc canters archives really are swell.

I love the early Don't Cry performances. Another great one is from the Roxy in 1986:
Honestly, Axl carried the band in their early days while the others were still trying to refine their sound. His voice was fucking incredible. Starting around 3:45 in the above video, he takes it to a completely epic level that I'm not sure he's ever reached since then in a live setting. This was a guy who was singing his heart out with absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain.
