i finally gave the whole record a proper, open minded listen today in the batmobile.....
holy shit.... it's really, really good. great songs... gus g is phenomenal. i'm probably the second biggest zakk fan on this board, and i'll say it: the change was necessary.... Although I hear a heavy zakk influence all over this thing.

Were any of the songs leftover from what Zakk had written with Oz before he was replaced?

I picked it up as an impulse buy from my local record store the other day. I'm still digesting it....so far I like "Let Me hear you scream" most though...it's just good fun with the drumming and all.....

It's funny but I read the other day that, that song was originally meant to be about the death of Michael Jackson and was to be called "Peter Pan Is Dead.".....seriously. They then came to the conclusion that it was in extremely bad taste and decided to call it "Superman is Dead" then it went through about four more changes before they finally decided on "Let Me Hear You Scream."
