Re: Best Album of the 80s Elimination- Round 6
while we are talking about singers i hate....lets not forget the penis with ears
I liked Gish and Siamese Dream, but when I hear his voice now I want to blow my brains out.

I'd even add Pisces Iscariot into that. Mostly b-sides from that era but still. Starla is a great song, and the Girl Named Sandoz cover has some great guitar work, as does 'Drown' from the Singles soundtrack (The GH version cuts off the last 7 minutes of guitar feedback/solo work.

James, you can't hear the almost identical vocals of Cornell & Hagar? I don't know what to say.
No, I cant. Never been much of a Hagar fan anyways, but I just don't see(hear) it.
I know that the Badmotorfinger title is a Montrose reference so he obviously likes Hagar, but anything past that is a stretch to me.
Cornell could pass for his son.
Man, you're killing me. Next you'll be telling me Jessica Alba's identical twin is Don Rickles.
On the topic of Pumpkins, I detest them. Siamese Dream reminds of someone I knew back in 94, and I hope to go the rest of my life without hearing it. Even other songs from them do the same thing. Fuck them.
i'm thinking U2, AC/DC or VH.....who's with me?
"Alliance voting" already?
No way in hell is The Joshua Tree the worst album up there.

Ride the Lightning. I like Cornell and I don't like Hagar but I can see the similarity. Both have strong rock pipes with a lot of range without ever sounding screeching like most high-pitched 80s rockers had (Axl included).
