Re: Led Zeppelin
Some great songs being played, but that is a pretty weak setlist overall. Granted, they got a few of their "big guns" in, but way too much strong material missing. If they tour, they are gonna need to revamp that list a bit or they're gonna be hearing chants for different songs.

Too much Zeppelin IV re-hash?
I thought it was a good one. No Going to California, Immigrant Song, or Over the Hills and Far Away? I guess Zeppelin has too many songs that appeal to different people to really satisfy everyone with a full set though. Everyone has a different favourite Zeppelin song.
Re: Led Zeppelin
Actually, there was too much Zep IV. Just because it has their biggest song doesn't mean they should weigh down the set with it. It should be more balanced. Other than Coda and Presence, they have a ton of material to pick from that fans would love.
Babe I'm Gonna Leave You
Your Time is Gonna Come
Dazed and Confused
Ramble On
Whole Lotta Love
Moby Dick
Gallows Pole
Tangerine
Rock N Roll
Stairway to Heaven
Over the Hills and Far Away
No Quarter
Kashmir
Ten Years Gone
Nobody's Fault But Mine
In the Evening
That is a balanced set loaded with nothing but fan favorites, and spans their entire discography minus Coda(which was shit and most fans hate).
Re: Led Zeppelin
Can't argue much with that set list James, but I still think there are a lot of songs that others would like to see that wouldn't make the cut. As I said, fans have different favourites of Zeppelin, that's what makes them so great. The fact that they didn't really have a defining song (Stairway is the exception) isn't because they didn't have good songs, it's because everyone likes something different. Over the Hills and Far Away is my favourite, but others would argue. They have way too many songs that people would consider "hits". It would be like The Beatles reuniting and trying to nail down one set list (well, maybe to a lesser level).
The only one on your list that I wouldn't want them to do is Moby Dick, and that's just cause it's John Bonham's bread and butter. It would be nice to have a tribute and have footage of Bonzo playing the solo from an old concert or something (much like they did with the harmony parts in Bohemian Rhapsody at the Freddie Mercury tribute show), but there's no way in hell I'd like to hear Jason try and play his dad's parts in that song.
Re: Led Zeppelin
Well, that setlist isn't all my faves. I tried to make a perfectly balanced set that would be the most appealing. Dancing Days is one of my faves, and would love to hear that, but there's other material that belongs before that. I am also a big fan of Thank You, but it doesn't really belong either. I also love Communication Breakdown.
I agree that its impossible to please everyone(VH is encountering this problem as well), but there's a couple filler tracks in their set tonight that need to be tossed.
Agreed about Moby Dick, but I envisioned it with Jason playing it with footage of his dad being shown on the screen. It would also give the rest of the band a break, as the setlist I picked is pretty damn long.

Re: Led Zeppelin
Communication Breakdown is one of my faves. It's from the first album, and it's just about the loudest damn song ever. LOL. On the other hand, Tangerine and Going To California are two of my favorites...fuck, there's too many favorites. Trampled Underfoot, Stairway, Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, Whole Lotta Love (best riff ever, holy shit), Heartbreaker, and on and on and on...basically all of their songs are favorites of mine.
There's a little bit of footage in this:

They sound pretty good!

Re: Led Zeppelin
man.. this just looks like a bunch of old farts trying to relive their glory days. I don't get the hype with this at all. They are a legendary band, but honestly.. in situations like this.. somethings are just best left great in the past.
