Re: Music Madness - max 2 per artist? or max 5?
I voted 5, but I can see the advantages of 2. There still leaves enough over for every artist to be represented in sequel threads, if there's an attempt to do it again.
I have one personal request with 2...
I think it would look MUCH better if EVERY artist represented on the list had two songs each for them, M.I.A. gets two, No Doubt gets two, Queen gets two, The Who gets two, you get the idea.
64 / 2 = 32
32 artists, 2 songs each

I don't agree with that. That would limit other artists since there would be some artists who would have to get removed from the list so another one could have two songs, and that would change the voting and basically make it useless since a song with more votes might get replaced by one with less just so that artist can have two songs represented.

Yeah, but I don't think it's right to have several artists with two songs, in competiton with others with only one.
Like I said, some of this is going to have to be resolved with sequel-threads. No way all of this can be represented to everyone's taste with a one and only one 'Music Madness'.

5, I don't care about it being diverse, I think it's better to have the songs we like.
I thought this would've been about finding out what are favourite song is... Not removing songs that might be more popular, just so it looks better.
Re: Music Madness - max 2 per artist? or max 5?
Well the problem is, there's a split audience. Some want to see their favorite songs face off with their other favorite songs.
Others are wanting to see how their favorite songs stack up against songs they wouldn't normally face them off with. I think it's all very interesting, but I can honestly say if it's like Estranged vs. M.I.A., it'll be like automatic GN'R.
So I think in the end, it's not really as diverse as they think.
