Re: Slash to Axl: "Whatever, Dude."
Former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash (real name: Saul Hudson) has commented on a recently published interview with GN'R singer Axl Rose in which he describes the top-hatted axeman as "a cancer."
Addressing the possibility of a reunion of GUNS N' ROSES' classic lineup, Rose said in a friendly chat with his pal, songwriter Del James, that was posted on AOL Music's Spinner.com web site, that it was "highly doubtful for us to have more than one of the alumni up with us at any given time."
"I suppose (former bass player) Duff (McKagan) could play guitar on something somewhere but there's zero possibility of me having anything to do with Slash," Rose said.
"In a nutshell, personally I consider him a cancer and better removed, avoided — and the less anyone heard of him or his supporters the better."
Speaking to Doug Elfman of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Slash confirmed that he had heard about Rose's latest tirade. "But you know, it's one of those things with him," Slash said. "It doesn't really affect me at all. At this point, it's starting to become a little bit — he's just sort of like — whatever."
Slash added, "It's been a long time. The fact that [Axl] has anything to say at all — it's like, 'Whatever, dude.' It doesn't really matter."

Hmmm, yeah.
...But you know Slash has talked about it for the past 12 years.
"Yeah you know I love Axl, but.... it was all his fault, you it's just him he's a nutter. "
Not to sound like a nutswinger or repeat myself every time, but Axl has only talked about this like 4 or 5 times in the last 12 years. I think it's messed up that, that only Axl gets stick.
Unreal. Axl's been bitching about this for years. Throwing Slash out of shows, throwing fans who wear a Slash t-shirt out of shows, ranting about Slash on stage. Take off your blinders. Like others have said. Everyone wants to work with Slash whereas Axl can't keep a guitar player to save his life. Figure it out man. Nothing Slash ever said was hateful. He always gave his opinion from his perspective regarding working conditions. Always said how highly he thought of Axl as a musician. Axl's the goof who every chance he got would cut Slash down as far as his musicianship goes. Axl is the one who tries to hurt people's credibility as a person to make himself look better. The fact you think it's messed up that Axl always get the short end of the stick is what's messed up..

I'll just repost this... I think this perfectly summarizes what Slash is basically saying every time he does interviews,
"Yeah you know I love Axl, but.... it was all his fault, you it's just him he's a nutter. "
I'm not even arguing with you about who's to blame, I'm pointing out that Slash up until a few years ago, done 9-13 interviews a week, where he basically said that.

9-13 a week? So he's done roughly bwteen 5616 - 8112 interviews over the years where he said Axl was crazy? Sure he did. You haven't a leg to stand on Atari. Slash never said anything more than stuff like "we had no idea what Axl was thinking, or where he was going." Other band members said the same thing. Other peole involved with Guns N' Roses over the years have said the same thing. Slash never said anything hateful. Slash never talked down about Axl as a musician and Slash most definately never said "everyone would be better off not hearing from Axl or his supporters the guy is a cancer. Axl should've left after Lies" Get over it, take off the blinders and just accept it. Axl is fucked, Slash basically(from the outside looking in) seems to speak the flat out truth.

I agree with Bono, again. Atari is the Keith Olbermann delusional repeater of the board when it comes to this topic. A conspiracy so grand by Slash to ruin Axl that Slash himself doesn't even know he is in the conspiracy.
Re: Slash to Axl: "Whatever, Dude."
^ I've never said that.
Anyway, sorry guys for being a"Guns N' Roses" fan
Re: Slash to Axl: "Whatever, Dude."
its amazing that the Slash vs Axl debate is so heated still..the funniest part is that the Axl fans are the most upset by it all after proclaiming for years that we should stop living in the past...the slash fans accepted it and moved on long ago and yet the fans leaning more to favoring axl constantly find ways to bring up how slash is a lying coniving cheating money grubbing twofaced jackel
