Re: Current Events Thread
The CDC just said people sick with Covid can go vote.
So lemme get this straight....
You can loot and burn buildings
You can protest against Trump or cops
You can vote
But you can't attend a Trump rally
We were just told that these Trump rallies are "super spreaders" but a bunch of people sick with Covid standing in line to vote aren't?
How does this kind of shit not make both sides sick?

Voting is a right. They can’t stop you from
Voting if you’re not wearing a mask either. It’s a shitty thing to do, but we don’t strip people of their rights without due process. Or at least that used to be a universally agreed upon concept. Cancel culture seems to have affected that perception.

I realize that and I'm not advocating they stop people from voting.
What drives me crazy is the inconsistency on this issue.

I'm now aware of this tradition...what is this?
“ By tradition, all eligible voters gather in the storied "Ballot Room" at The Balsams resort in Dixville Notch to cast their secret ballots once polls open at midnight. Once every ballot is cast, votes are tallied and results announced -- hours before anywhere else, making it a favored spot for reporters and observers eager for any hints of what is to come on Election Day.”
Last time they voted for Clinton 4-2

Holy shit I forgot about this. First time I heard about it was during the 92 election.
This is the kind of stuff missing today. We need more fun and as you say cheesy things during the election.
Everything is too serious and depressing now.
