I feel bad for steve, but Izzy lost my patience by wagging the RRHOF. If matt was at these shows they'd be perfect. But it feels like a nitpick - I notice Axl and Slash kicking ass like the old world

Maybe he just wanted to justify to the critics, why he wasn't going to fire him?
That, and I think out of sheer loyalty to Richard. Richard has been intensely loyal to GN'R for 15 years, and brought it when Axl asked him too.
It was Axl's way of saying, "I never had any intention of showing Richard or Frank the door. So fuck off with the Where's Izzy, Where's Steven"

Adler was fired by Axl, Slash and Duff years ago.
People can blame Axl all they want, but back in the day Slash buried Adler in interviews afterwards too.

I feel that way about Izzy but not steven. Izzy quit. I mean i'd never quit GNR. But steve he just has problems and they're problems introduced to him by Slash and Izzzy.

Oh i dont blame Axl exclusively. I mean Slash was Steve's childhood friend. I sort of loose respect for them that they didnt find a way to give him at least a cameo.
