Thanks for posting as I was looking forward to catching the nominees. This year is utter bullshit. The Dark Knight got robbed of everything, making Ledger's deserved nomination feel like a cop-out. RDJ for Tropic Thunder? I loved the movie, but this guy should have had his due years ago. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (his real comeback) comes to mind. Whatever, I'm rooting for Rourke and Ledger to carry my interest this year.

This is the biggest rob of all time. The only deserving nom is Mickey Rourke for The Wrestler (for which he'll never win). I think Sean Penn can bank that win.
I also think The Shield should've seen some nom's in their final season, maybe for best drama, Chiklis for lead, and I think Walton Goggins should've gotten his first ever for supporting for Shane. He was AMAZING this final season.

The Shield, best drama? Six Feet Under, that's drama. Not some Kiefer Sutherland suspense parade. Mackey would soon have a heart attack jumping from one life defining crisis to another every 5 minutes.
Chiklis for lead however..he's an amazing actor although he doesn't always have a lot to work with. Deserved after all this time and with no Gandolfinis around.
