Re: Irving Azoff: "No Reunion Planned"
I thinks it's pretty clear at this point that Axl has finally hired someone that can/will get him from point A to point B. I would image there'll be a few more "GNR" albums released in the next few years & some well planned tours to make whatever money is left out there to make with the GNR name.
It's definitely not the most exciting band anymore, but I guess this was Axl's big vision?
He didn't hire Azoff for nothing imo...

Re: Irving Azoff: "No Reunion Planned"
I'm actually positive about this news, even though like many fans from back in the day, there's always a candle in my heart for the old line up, but generally I think what upsets me about the band is the lack of updates at critical ventures. That we have a statement from managment to shoot down the rumours is a step forward for me.
Hopefully some time will pass and other things will happen. Perhaps an interview, or some shows or something, or work on a follow up. Any of those things would excite me.
I was thinking about this issue this morning and I realised that i'm just happy that Axl is back to making music and sharing it with people. Other stuff would be nice - but that we have the album is what's most important to me.
I wonder maybe if Axl has been absent as the process has been emotional to him? Despite the range on opinions on if he should have done what he's done over the years, it's clearly been a tumoultous journey for him. Immagine releasing something you've worked on for 17 years, showered with equal praise and critisim, poored your heart into and fought your personal demons over...just releasing it would have been intense I'd guess.

Re: Irving Azoff: "No Reunion Planned"
This statement doesn't mean shit. I don't take it serious.
Re: Irving Azoff: "No Reunion Planned"
i was gonna agree that this doesn't mean it's not happening but then i remembered.
new gnr is 100 percent truthful when it comes to these sorts of statements.
"no reunion", "no reality tv show", "stolen bike" etc.
how about you tell us what you are planning then you *explitive
Re: Irving Azoff: "No Reunion Planned"
[i]In the future, we hope that if media have any questions concerning GN'R, they'd at least check their facts before running inaccurate stories for their own benefit."
I'm curious - how can anybody ever do any fact checking when no one from the GNR camp will ever fucking talk????
I've got a question then Azoff - is Robin Finck in the band?? Where would you like me to go to fact check that???
If they aren't gonna talk or do interviews etc, then they have to expect that the media and fans etc are gonna speculate then in the abscence of any reliable info. FACT!
