This is good news that CD tops the world this week. But the numbers are still shockingly low considering the 15 year silence. The company must be also aware of Axl's strange (non-)moves, the possibilty what a 'real' GN'R record could have sold, their enourmous investment and the fact that after Christmas the album has really no perspective. I'm sure it'll sell relatively well till then, since a lot of people will buy it as a present for their 'old GN'R-lover buddy/husband/wife', but the fact that a lot of consumers aren't satisfied with the product won't help the sales either.

well you arent on HTGTH right now...i'm sick of the "I'm sick of HTGTH" shit ... why do you think we are all here to begin with
so the fucking thing only goes to #3 in the USA...yet goes #1 world wide in sales and peopel still cant see any light at the end of the tunnel... #1 in the world is a pretty good figure IMO

No need to apologize. I hear 'ya. I only said that, because when I tried to talk business numbers, I was absolutely leveled with all kinds of anti-American statements, having nothing to do with actual business. This was a couple years ago when we were just 'speculating' what the album might sell.
We'll just have to agree to disagree. I think it's bad news. I think, at least for GN'R, what it does in the states will be it's jury and executioner, in comparison to the world.
And, sadly, I also don't think Axl will ever speak. If he wasn't going to do it now, he will never do it, imo.

haha...twas a long day for me, all i'm saying is that in times like these we have to appreciate good news when we get it, #1 in the world is a good place to be, its rare that american bands reach world wide acceptance like gnr seems to...especially the current lineup...and being that the USA is a media influenced society, once there gets some press coverage or if axl ever speaks or if a tour kicks off then i still say that the sales will see an increase in activity
those were not anti american sentiments i consider all you guys as freinds and i am far and away not anti american...i know alot of peopel who are...but i'm not one of them..though sprouting american this and american that does get on my nerves at times...no different than a bible thumper preaching god at every turn...sorry to all the fellow catholics (yes I am one too
