well everyone says shit on the ice right...but to intentionally bring it into the media is fucked....i get the antagoniser role i do but this is beyond that
i dunno if i woulda suspended him if i was commisioner but i see where they are coming from in making that choice based on his history

When was footballers ever anything but a bunch of high schoolers anyway? I mean, if it had been the WC in Chess or Deconstructive Theory I could understand.

You know what? It wasn't so much that he said it, it's how he said it. It was premeditated it and he made sure the camera guys turned the cameras on. He's a dick but this was not suspension worthy. How can he be suspended by the league for this when some guys barely get suspended for cheap shots on the ice. The league should've simply fined him the maximum and then let the Dallas Stars deal with it no their own and if they feltt eh need to suspend him than that's fine. I agree with everyone it's disrespectful but it's not the worst thing that's ever been said. The league looks silly suspending a guy for being rude. C'mon. 
For the record this was more than just a shot at Dion Phaneuf. Elisha Cuthbert also dated Montreal's Mike Komisarek and Avery also dated Rachel Hunter who's now engaged to Kings' forward Jarret Stoll.

true he is a first class asshole but what's he really done? I mean he's not a dirty player, he doesn't dish out cheap shots. He' got no class but he's never really done anything suspension worthy, this included.
On a related note I thought what he did to Brodeur last year int eh playoffs was genius. Everyone bitched about it though. How it was a classless move and it's not what the game is about. Get real. He screened Brodeur effectively, got Brodeur pissed and off his game and all without laying a finger on Brodeur. There's no difference in what he did to Brodeur than when a guy shoves his ass in a goalies face and rasies his arms when the shot comes. And this coming from a goalie. I thoght it was awesome.
