and i thought vista was supposed to be easier lol..what a pos
ive only used it couple of times when fixin other peoples shit so im not too familiar with it enough to offer any advice. been a while since i used win, erm, as a quick n dirty solution you could try adding a user with the same name/password on the pc you are tryin to authenticate on.. used to work back in the day on 2k
Id have guessed its just a matter of setting the username in sharing permissions accordingly.
erm, is "simple file sharing" still an option in vista, it was/is in xp..that doesnt help
I personally use for streaming via web interface a linux server with apache musicindex module.. its a bit pretty

im gonna set it up in a virtual box and have a play out of curiosity.
requirements are fkin ridiculous, stretchin my poor 3ghz 1gig mem lappy
