Heard about this a day or two ago on a Patton forum, and I'd be totally into it. I'm really looking forward to Mondo Cane in 09, but assuming that's done, FNM's return would be much more welcomed than a second Peeping Tom album or a fourth Tomahawk. And assuming Bungle reunion isn't going to happen, FNM is #1.
Who would be the guitarist?
Faith No More would also be one of few reunions whose making an original album would excite me (I'm somewhat dreading the new AIC record).

Just about the only time i want an album redone by newer artists is their first cd but with patton`s take..
I`d kill for a version (studio) of crab song with patton..

I think it would be fairly Faith No More of them to really hype that they're getting back together, then end up having Chuck Mosley singing.

Yea a reunion with Chuck is a possibility. Then I wouldn't care at all. In the Kerrang thing Billy Gould mentions Patton but not Chuck (at least I don't think he does).
Martin would have some work to do, KFAD and AOTY happened without him. Plus Martin thought The Real Thing was the best FNM could ever do, which would provide for some boring setlists and friction. I highly doubt they would want Trey Spruance (Mr. Bungle, studio guitarist for KFAD) to do it, he was pretty much their last option when it came time to record the follow-up to Angel Dust.
Dean Menta, who was in FNM from 95-97, isn't in a band or anything. He did a lot of touring and knows almost all the material. I don't know shit about Jon Hudson, or what he's doing or if he's even alive, but he's an option.
Or they could get somebody totally new. Somebody like... Richard Fortus.

I actually would go to see a reunion with Mosley or buy an album. I dig those first two albums quite a bit, it's just that then Patton joined and a creative bomb went off.
I would say Martin coming back would be unlikely, because I wouldn't see the rest of the band wanting to ignore the last two albums, and I couldn't see Martin wanting to do anything from them. Plus he grows GIANT PUMPKINS. I hate to keep harping on that, but I think it's really funny.
The dude that Patton owns his label with used to sing in a band with Dean Menta, so they're probably on pretty good terms (although in FNM-land there's no reason to assume that I suppose). It's anybody's guess really, you try to guess what FNM's gonna do, they'll do something different just to fuck with you.
