Really?  Finally releasing an album after 14 years, having brutal production value on songs that were finished 4+ years ago, not doing ANYTHING to promote it, and missing 2 of the key guys that wrote the songs doesn't sound a lot like someone that has their shit together to me, but maybe I just have higher standards than you guys do.

The guy is AWOL (as is the rest of his "band" with very, very minor momentary exceptions) in the weeks before the most hyped album release ever and you guys think everything is ok with Axl?  I hope none of you are psychologists responsible for putting insane criminals back on the street because they seem to be ok.

Why would it have to be a surprise performance? For fuck sakes they're releasing an album, they should be out there promoting it. Tell people you're going to be there (if they are) so they can get some publicity.

I'm sorry, guys, but the mystery and mystique has worn off.

True Mister... for the new band.

Here's the long shot folks. IF GN'R perform, it will be the old band imo.

I think that's the surprise. I can't see the new band garnering ANOTHER 'surprise' performance after the VMA's have already been done, they are already short a guitarist, maybe two, and possibly a keyboardist, and Britney performing is even more of a long shot imo than GN'R. Britney's performance at the VMA's (was it last year? can't remember) was an absolute disaster. She was majorly hyped, and totally bombed the performance, phoning in most of it, and it pretty much killed her 'sexy' factor for live performances on TV.

Plus Britney doesn't garner any kind of surprise appearence anymore. If she was going to be a 'surprise', why wouldn't the VMA's done that? The VMA performance she played, was HYPED as a Britney show.

With the current state of the new band, Duff's 'nervous' interview last night, Axl's disappeared, now the VMA's are having a secret performance on the day of CD being release... me thinks it's Guns n' Fuckin' Roses - the real one.

Just like you said - I doubt that happens.

This is a long shot period, but IF it happens, I don't think it'll be the new band. jmo

Dude the old GNR is never reuniting... and certainly not before 2010. Chinese Democracy is getting released freaking tomorrow. There's no reunion coming, nothing points to it besides your own hope, which is admirable, but in too many threads for me. hmm
