Re: Bumblefoot featured Guest on Eddie Trunk Friday Night
Most of the negative stuff posted here about Bumble is the fact he can't do Bucket's stuff live. Seems to be fact from the boots I've heard.
I really like what he did with CD, all those subtle riffs are freakin' awesome. Otherwise, I don't really concern myself with him too much. He's a great guitarist no doubt and he's a good ambassador for GNR.
The fact he thinks we hate him just goes to show quite a few members of GNR patrol the forums.
Hi Ron!
Exactly. Perhaps he quit looking at this site a while ago so he didn't see our thread giving him kudos.
Bucket's work is very challenging, and i don't think anyone expected him to pull it off perfectly. He did get better as the tour progressed.
I don't really know anyone here who hates him. His rhythm work on CD is great, and his lead stuff on SR is great as well.
Re: Bumblefoot featured Guest on Eddie Trunk Friday Night
From reading the initial posts about the interview it sounded like it was a trainwreck, but I listened to it and it's not that bad. I just wonder what the average Trunk listener, the people who haven't followed the CD saga, thought of it.
I feel sorry for Ron because he's obviously a good guy who loves to connect with the fans, but he is not allowed to talk about anything. He still tries to connect despite that but he always ends up with egg on his face.

I just hope that when the album is out, they can finally be given the go ahead to talk about the album. I didn't like it all this time but understood that Axl wanted them to keep their mouths shut because of the saga. Now that the saga is over, the silence should be over and they be free to discuss the songs and whatever else GNR related.

Re: Bumblefoot featured Guest on Eddie Trunk Friday Night
I haven't listened to it but I'm glad it was better than people were making out to be. Reading the thread on HTGTH it sounded like a car crash which is why I asked if anyone here had heard it.
Re: Bumblefoot featured Guest on Eddie Trunk Friday Night
Yeah, it wasn't that bad.
The 'oh no don't take calls about it' thing was protracted but I understood it's kind of a crazy thing to do in his position with this album.
Unfortunately, he came off like he couldn't definately say who was on the recording, or produced it, mixed it, mastered it, etc. That came off sort of wierd. And unfortunately, GNR fans keep asking the same 'dumb' questions.
But it wasn't a trainwreck, he said serveral important things, and Eddie really spoke some good words.
I would like to hear that guy's brother's band if they could out-do Democracy....hahaha.
Re: Bumblefoot featured Guest on Eddie Trunk Friday Night
Those calls shouldn't have even made the air.
That's the problem. TERRIBLE and unprofessional interview by Trunk. Which is a shame, because he was ace during the Axl interview in 2006.
And that interview was just thrown on him as well. He had time to prepare for the Bbf one.
Re: Bumblefoot featured Guest on Eddie Trunk Friday Night
I didn't listen to this. Did he really call us out as haters? Pretty cool but apparently he has amnesia because every time he did a chat here the room was full of fans who enjoyed talking to him, and he was treated with the utmost respect. We even closed down registrations on the day of the chats so trolls wouldn't sign up harassing him. Even made his email hidden and I think we also disabled PMs so people wouldn't bother him through that.
His comments are basically a slap in the face to every member here who spent hours in the chat talking to him.
Apparently the chat he did on Trunk's site was a complete disaster. Ron, consider it karma.
