seriously...
i'm just guessing, but my feeling is that behind the scenes Axl is pissed as anything right now, as this exercise stinks of corporate blackmail and rush jobs....those mediocre TV ads...the already known songs on the list...now this...
I'm willing to bet money on us getting some kind of a press release which says that this wasn't meant to happen like this....

Not the single but the actual album cover.

wow...that one line about the artwork suddenly brought back all my fears that it wasn't happening and that's why we have no official statement. But hell - with CD as a single on the radio at the moment...I think it must be going to happen...and it's just GNR being GNR....

I think you guys are reading into the cover statement way too much. He could have just meant "pending the fans approval" as a joke or something, meaning he knew fans would like the music but love or hate the bicycle cover.
Or maybe they have 2-3 covers they want to use and the Bicycle one is "just in case" the other covers are too controversial.
Either way, it's coming out the 23rd.... don't let that one comment scare you...

Axl described this cover a long time ago. This is what he wants. This is fine.
I like the cover more everytime I look at it to be honest. And I DO think it's intentional that spray paint on the wall says "Guns N' Rose"
