Re: Rolling Stone ends large format after 4 decades
Rolling Stone is irrelevant, no matter what cosmetic changes it may undergo. It's declining readership has nothing to do with its layout and larger format and everything to do with its being littered with poor journalism and two-bit Hunter Thompson clones. Yet for whatever strange reason, it continues to find its way into my mailbox. I don't pay for it. In fact, I haven't subsribed to Rolling Stone for years. I've never contributed to Rolling Stone. Why the hell do they keep sending me copies of their shitastic magazine?
Re: Rolling Stone ends large format after 4 decades
I used to be a loyal reader many years ago. Started when I was a kid when GNR made it to the cover(mainly read Circus, Hit Parader, RIP, and a few science mags back then) and continued reading it up until the mid/late 90s. They sort of bought into their own hype and took themselves too seriously. They also tried to influence pop culture just a bit too much for my tastes.
I liked the old format. Made them really stand out among everything else.

Rolling Stone should just get rid of the published format.
