Re: It's over for McCain

It's no secret who I want to be President and how bad I think Obama will be for America's long term future.  But after looking at the latest polls from sources I consider to be reputable, it's going to be a blow out for Obama.  Florida has done almost a 180 swing for Obama.  Virginia is very strong for Obama now, and meanwhile McCain holds a 1% lead in Ohio according to the polls I go off of.  By next week, Obama will be several points ahead in Ohio too.  It's shaping up to be around 370 electoral votes for Obama, far better than the "mandate" Bush had in '04.

Hopefully I'm dead wrong about Obama and he's not really a marxist.  And hopefully the American people are intelligent enough to realize there is no such thing as a free lunch and won't be swayed by dillusions of grandeur.  But I sadly think this period is highlighting the downfall of what was once the world's greatest country ever.

I might just stay in Iraq Rambo II style.

Re: It's over for McCain

I want to add something to my previous post.  If America is truly on the downward spiral, Obama will go down in history as the person responsible for it.  I'm not saying that is fair or would be an accurate portrayl, but History will view him as the man who ran on a campaign of hope and change that would restore America's greatness.  If Obama fails to turn the tide and we collapse, no one can intelligently say that Obama wasn't in at least some aspect responsible.

This brings me up to my next point.  I was discussing with someone the other day of where America will be in 20 years.  He expressed his opinion that America is headed towards a fascist state, ala the Nazis.  Now it's no secret that racist undertones exist on all sides in America.  Albeit much less pronounced than it was 50 years ago, but it still lurks beneath the surface.  If the masses view a Black Man as the downfall of their once great country (which could be spun a number of ways)  I could certainly see the masses turning towards a leader who much like Obama, offers to solve all their solutions, but also appealing to the most obvious and prominent connection between groups - skin color or ethnicity.

Yes, I find it completely plausible that should we experience a complete economic collapse compacted with fear of outside attack lured in by our weakened status, the majority of Americans would turn to a Hitler like character willing to provide them with security and stability if only they let him rule.

Yeah, the writing is pretty much on the wall. Only another war, 9-11 type attack, or major scandal will propel McCain into the presidency. Like I said back when I was really on an anti McCain rant, he was the wrong guy for the republicans to pick. He doesn't really even pretend to have a vision for this country. We are up shit creek without a paddle, and its hard for people to back him when he doesn't really have a plan. Everyone knows he just wants to be prez in the twilight of his life.

Like you, I see the nightmare coming under an Obama presidency. He will finish what has already started. Had the republicans put anyone but McCain against him, Obama would have been destroyed in a general election. Definitely would have been the case had a governor been nominated.

Yeah, and the second he walks into the Oval Office, he is out of excuses. He is going to have a majority in the House and Senate. Anything he wants, Congress will pass it.

Yeah, I can see such a scenario happening as well.  My grandma thinks he's gonna be assassinated in office.

I pray that no harm comes to him or anyone else, but if the country goes down the toilet, I can easily see that happening.

Randall, that is a very scary thought to think about.  It could very well happen and us turn into Germany all over again.  How sad it would be to see our country, that one actually stood for freedom and democracy, turn into that.  I would move.

A lot of people are predicting he will be assassinated.  There will most likely be attempts, and the Secret Service is going to be working overtime during his presidency i'm sure.  I hope nothing happens to him or anyone else in his administration if he wins.

The debate tonight could start putting McCain back into voters' preference, or it could mean lights out for McCain.  His campaign could be over tonight if he does poorly.

Either way, we'll be no better off.

Yeah this is what I mean when I say bring on that "whitey" video. Doesn't even have to be that specific video(if it exists). Just something that shows a bit of reality and makes people wake up and see what it is that they truly support.

The kool aid these Obama fans are drinking is laced with cyanide, and their stomachs are in dire need of being pumped before its too late.

Might as well make this prediction now....

Oprah Winfrey WILL be in an Obama administration. Not going to predict what cabinet position, but she will be there. Also don't be surprised if Jackson and Sharpton also get positions in his administration. They have always wanted real influence and now is their time to get it. Sharpton would probably get a very minor role, but he'll be there.

You also haven't heard the last of Rev. Wright.

Also gonna predict that Hillary doesn't get asked to be a part of his administration.

McCain would have to AMAZE in the next two debates to even pull out a slight win over Obama. At this point, I think regardless of the popular vote, Obama has got the electoral votes in the bag... and that's all that really matters.

And Randall as far as you in Iraq Rambo II style, I want you to rack up them ragheads by the bushel. 22
