Just count your blessings that the McCain camp is too moronic to drill this story into the publics brain.

You're right, the secessionist thing is WORSE. What Ayers did 40 years ago has nothing to do with Obama. What the Palins have been up to supporting the AIP is recent. Sarah spoke at their 2008 convention. There is no defending it. Obama used Ayers for political connections in Chicago. He was fucking 8 years old when that asshole was doing his misdeeds.

So if I have lunch and hang out with Bin Laden, its ok because the attacks happened years ago?

I'll never understand the level people go in defending this guy. He's scum. Admit it. You can still vote for scum.

The fact that liberals put terrorism on the same level as a secessionist movement is frightening.

You're lucky that Obama is running against McCain. Anyone else would have destroyed this clown. Instead, the country gets to look forward to a new nightmare.

I'm not a liberal. Stop calling me one or I'll be forced to call you "ASSHOLE."

I am against Obama on abortion, guns, energy, health care, and I'm sure the list could keep going. Point being, I'm pretty moderate if you go issue by issue with me. But I am more afraid of the cowboy, nutjob CONSERVATIVE foreign policy that has us in a clusterfuck not only in Iraq but in terms of our credibility around the world. It's time for this shit to stop, and McCain's constant "tough talk" gives me zero confidence that he would change Bush's foreign policy at all. In fact, he sounds even MORE conservative. Pat Buchanan said McCain would make Cheney look like a pacifist. That scares the hell out of me given the current state of our military and our reputation.

If you want this to devolve into flaming, we can do that, i'm sure the mods will be glad to lock it.

I hear what you're saying, but with all due respect, back the fuck off with the sarcastic "tejas" and "dude", and then calling James an asshole because he called you a "liberal". Two totally different words, a-hole being much stronger.

No, it's his constant use of it that pisses me off because I'm not a liberal. He uses that word as some kind of a negative attack on me for some reason, constantly. Swear to God, he is so obsessed with using that word as an attack that he rarely ever actually addresses the issue at hand. I'm not a liberal and I'm sick of being generalized as one. I can't stand the likes of Pelosi and even Obama on the domestic front. But the one issue that could actually affect me is a military draft...and McCain is the fucker who supports that shit.

As for the tejas, again it was your repeated use of it that was getting on my nerves. The dude thing was sarcastic because you were asking for it. The FactCheck article clearly states exactly what I was saying and I was not trying to "dispute" it at all. The article points out that they've had a number of encounters with that organization over the years.

Maybe because he knows he can't bring up "old shit", like the Keating 5 Scandal. Which caused an economic crisis in itself.... Which John McCain was one of the 5.

I don't know why you care or keep fighting to be honest, this elections over.  22 I could pull out all the "Joe Biden was the worst VP pick in history" posts that were made a few weeks ago, but I'll take the high road on that. He did a phenomenal job the other night & brought his A-game. On a curve, I give Palin a C, realistically without a curve (or had that been John Edwards performance in 2004) she gets a D.

Obama/Biden 2008 - Best ticket in over a decade!!

LOL. Not like you are saying much with that statement considering the assholes that have been running for P/VP the last decade. I mean really, look at what you're dealing with going back to 1996: Dole/Kemp, Clinton/Gore, Bush/Cheney, Gore/Lieberman, Bush/Cheney, and Kerry/Edwards. LMFAO, what a pathetic bunch.

Yeah, which is really why I kept it at 10 years.. Clinton Gore was great though, you really can't say much bad about their reign... Too bad douchebag Republicans had to fuck it up & buy into 3 second sound bites like "Family values" and "Fiscal Conservative". Which is ironic, because they drove this country into near insurmountable debt, and are running a VP whose 17 year old daughter got knocked up. Awesome!! Kinda like how they made a huge deal that "Bill Clinton smoked pot" then 8 years later elect a pot smoking, coke using, recovered drunk. Good to see they stick with those values.

Liberal. Conservative. Democrat. Republican. Independent. Are we supposed to invent a new language for you just so we can have a discussion? You're voting for Obama. He's extremely liberal. That means you lean towards the left. Or do you think he's conservative?\

I don't address "issues at hand"? Find one thread here where I dodged something. I do a pretty damn good job at finding facts that back up whatever statements I post, and its pretty insulting to be told I sit around dodging your points and using liberal as an "out".

As far as you guys saying "its over", don't count your chickens before they hatch. We've yet to have the October surprise, and if we go to war with Iran or some crisis erupts in eastern Europe, McCain is gonna dance into the White House.

OK, then. Let's go through the issues if you think I lean to the left enough to be called a liberal.

1. Abortion. Strongly against it. But it doesn't affect me personally on a day to day basis.
2. Energy. I work in the fucking oil industry, so you should have a pretty damn good idea of what I think on this issue.
3. Health care. Not a fan of universal health care at all. I don't want to foot that bill. Hope it never gets passed into law.
4. Guns. Can't stand gun control.
5. Embryonic stem cell research. Against it.
6. Global warming. Being significantly overexaggerated by the left. Blaming humans for something that has a proven cyclical effect throughout history is pretty comical coming from the people (Gore, I'm looking straight at you) who are driving around in SUV's, living in mansions that use a ton of electricity, and flying in private jets.
7. Gay marriage. Against it. But it does not affect me in my day to day life.

There's one issue I am "liberal" on, and it has everything to do with my own interpretation of what Jesus would do as well as being concerned about my own well being (potentially getting dragged into a politician's agenda all because we have no troops right now due to the Iraq fiasco):

1. War.

That's it. It is really the only issue I vote on right now because McCain is a complete jackass on it. If he showed at least some semblance of being willing to use diplomacy, I would be highly inclined to vote for him since I think, especially, he has a better position on energy which is the next most important issue I feel.
