I don't think you want to start cherry-picking their voting records. McCain's is God awful as well. The fucker came up with "campaign finance reform" only AFTER getting busted in the Keating 5 thing. He recently voted against the improved G.I. bill for veterans and his rating is 20% from one of the veterans issues groups while Obama's is in the 70's or 80's. He fucking voted against the MLK holiday for crying out loud. He voted for torture immediately after saying he was against it. It can go on and on for days, indeed. This is why senators usually don't get elected President, but this year we have two of them running so a Senator will be winning.

Well, we agree there. I have stated quite a few times that I am no fan of McCain. However, his record is longer and he is willing to take a stand on many key issues. I'd rather someone take a stand on something I don't agree with then to not take a stand at all.
The president doesn't get to vote "present" or just throw a bill in the garbage because he's afraid to pass or veto the thing.
I agree that Senators rarely win and in fact don't deserve the presidency. Nothing they do prepares them for the job. The road to the presidency usually goes through a governor's office. As it should.
It's not looking too good for you over there at the moment.
That's the understatement of the century. We get to choose between a potentially senile veteran with low self esteem and an inexperienced socialist in a racist church for 20 years that's too afraid to vote.
Either way, Russia and China win.

China has been winning for years and will continue to. They own our asses. Russia is benefiting quite a bit from the spike in oil prices and of course they are taking advantage of that to ramp up their "superpower" standing in the world. In a world where both of them are becoming very powerful and neither likes us, I REALLY don't like John McCain's utterly stubborn view on dealing with Iran. Both of those countries support Iran, China because of oil and Russia because they want a reason to antagonize us.

You've called Obama a socialist. That is a fucking smear, my friend. His record is pretty damn mainstream.
The only reason James is pulling out that card is because that atrociously shitty condition the U.S. economy and stock market is in, and SOMEHOW in his mind and others it's because WE DON'T HAVE a free market.
We've had as free as a free market gets since the early 80's. Bankers ruined the party, and proved they can't be trusted.
We now have to crack down on ALL the kids up there, by imposing more regulations. Because Obama supports that, suddenly he's a socialist.
He's just playing it smart, so we don't have ANOTHER $700 billion bail out in a couple years.
