Re: Obama figures it out
Palin's old news & McCain has nothing to gain ground with..
Really? Then why is Obama now starting to tank in democratic stronghold states? I'd call blue states on the verge of going red "gaining ground", but I guess liberals have a different definition of the term.
It's time to cut the bullshit & go with what you got.
If we're cutting the bullshit now, McCain wins.
I do find it funny though that dems still aren't willing to admit there's an iceberg ahead when democratic advisers, polls across the board, electoral maps, and advisers close to Obama indicate there is trouble.
The longer you deny a sinkhole is right in front of you, it gets deeper.

What planet are you on James?? McCain's lead is down to only 1% in the 9/12-9/15 polls. Just wait until the 9/16-9/18 polls come out after McCain has failed in his stance on economic policy yesterday & today. By Friday Obama's leading, no doubt.

I love how you have to find one poll that shows McCain's lead is 1%. I posted some interesting statistics in that other thread showing those electoral maps and how the Obama vs Palin thing clearly backfired, but we cant have discussion on that because it doesn't favor golden boy.
A few weeks ago you said Obama would be leading. Now you're saying it again.
McCain failed in his stance on economic policy? Where did Obama succeed?

Fine, let's use ALL the polls on realclearpolitics.com ending 9/15:
Gallup - McCain +1
Hotline/FD Tracking - Obama +4
Rasmussen - McCain +1
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls … a-225.html
Doesn't fare much better for McCain does it (oh & btw I didn't post the Obama leading poll results yet either. Because I know the lead is immenent. The wheels are falling off McCains train fast.
If you would have listened to me earlier in this thread, you guys would know your answer.
In this thread BigBri, or another?? I don't see any posts by you in this one.

Actually, it does fair better. As I already mentioned in a different thread, Obama is starting to tank in blue states. Of course this doesn't matter because McCain is only leading Obama by 1% in some of these national polls.
Lets take a look at some key states from that same link:
State Previous status Current status
Minnesota Leaning Obama Toss up
Indiana Toss up Leaning McCain
Florida Toss up Leaning McCain
North Carolina Toss up Leaning McCain
New Jersey solid Obama Leaning Obama
Washington solid Obama Leaning Obama
Pennsylvania solid Obama Leaning Obama
solid downgraded to leaning= losing voters
Yes there are states where McCain has a few similar stats, but we're trying to narrow this down to the battleground states.
Lets look at the only toss up states left:
McCain: Ohio, Nevada
Obama: Minnesota, New Mexico, Michigan, New Hamsphire, Pennsylvania
Tie: Virginia
I know what you're gonna say...I'm disproving my point showing those toss up states. Actually, it reinforces my point. When you look at the trends of each of those states(feel free to look), Obama's are declining while McCain's are either steady or increasing.
Lets look at the trend in the electoral college map. These numbers were updated every two weeks starting in June:
+7.1% Obama
+3.8% Obama
+5% Obama
+4.4% Obama
+1.7% Obama
+1% McCain
Hmmmm, notice a trend?
You can sugarcoat these(or other) statistics all you want. It still doesn't ignore the facts. Obama is in deep shit even in states that should be guarantees. Hell, some polls show him leading in California by single digits. Single digits! My state is a democratic lock unless your name is Reagan. If that trend continues, Obama is gonna have to start campaigning here, which would be a disaster.
By the way, I'm not predicting a CA win for McCain. Its just a good example to show how he is in a hole that he probably cant dig out of.
The wheels are falling off McCains train fast.
Sure they are.
