Re: Prayers and thoughts
It might be. though in the tie it happened i wouldn't think so. he called sounding fine about 2 minutes before he staggered into my house on his way home from work clutching his chest telling us to call 911. He did get the news that his girlfriend who has two kids with him was messing around. So I don't know.
Re: Prayers and thoughts
Yeah, this is most likely an anxiety attack. Earlier this year I thought I was having a heart attack. Was rushed to the hospital and put through tests. It was an anxiety attack. Anxiety attacks can often be the usual symptoms of a heart attack.
He'll be in my prayers. He's probably feeling like how I felt while laying there in the hospital bed pondering his fate. Its not a feeling I would wish on anyone.

Re: Prayers and thoughts
Prayers and best wishes are with your friend, hopefully he is experiencing something like Lofton did earlier. Not that an anxiety attack is pleasant but much better than a stroke or heart attack. If his speech isn't slurred nor a "drooped" face on one side then hopefully we can rule out a stroke. A heart attack (especially with the numbness on one side) is still possible but so would a panick attack be. Whatever the case I hope all turns out well and he pulls through just fine.
Re: Prayers and thoughts
Wow sorry to hear about that, esp at that age. Hopefully (and I use that term loosely) it's an anxiety attack. My Grandfather had a stroke when I was about 10 & that disease does people no favors. He was paralyzed on his whole left side & brain. He couldn't talk & was wheelchair bound for the last 10 years of his life. I fear that. Heart attacks are no good either, esp at that age. But I worked with a guy years ago who did have one at about 27. He pulled thru, still would suck to have one so young.
