They aren't blogs. Majority of articles I post are legitimate news sources. If I do happen to post a blog, its from one of those news sites. I don't need to troll google looking for blogs.

seemed to deserve a whole thread of it's own. As I said, it got tired.

This site's purpose isn't meant to be a chore to you.  While I will admit some of my threads may seem a bit monotonous as they do have a similar theme, if you only want to make your point in one of three similar threads, do so. You're not obligated to post in every thread me or anyone else starts.

As you can tell, we don't have a sticky thread for politics. Since this site started, everyone who has an interest in politics is free to post threads regarding whatever topic they choose. If you and the others who post in this section would rather have all political discussion contained in one thread, then we can do that. I like discussing this shit with you guys, and am certainly not interested in making you "tired".

There's nothing wrong with the use of nuclear weapons. Let me rephrase that. There's nothing wrong with the willingness and/or threat to use them. If the US dismantles all its nukes tonight, you'd be speaking Chinese tomorrow. Fact. Never underestimate the power of a nuclear missile sitting idly in its silo.

Notice all that tough talk towards Russia over their invasion of Georgia? Wonder why the talk isn't backed up by action? Because they have thousands of nukes aimed at our cities and our nuclear arsenal.

I watched that interview and Palin's  answers were childish and borderline whiny. You could easily tell that she had no idea what she is talking about and what responsibilities a vp has.

This is what I don't understand regarding these attacks. In my opinion, there are a few concerning statements made in that interview, and not one of the complaints mentions them. Its always personal attacks aimed at Palin, and not her position on the issues.

People whining about the Bush Doctrine? Seriously? It was the most irrelevant part of the interview.

Not a very good thing to say right now. After George W, Clinton comes off like an economic genius.

Anyway, you can knock "liberals" for mocking her lack of knowledge on the Bush Doctrine, but then she still has to deal with that answer of "being around oil" as her sufficient experience in foreign relations (I pasted the youtube clip on page 1), or her explaination of the Iraq War being "God's Will" (she also said in the same sermon putting a pipeline into Alaska is also "God's Will"). I don't have a huge problem with someone saying something is "God's Will", but I believe my God is doing Greater work than trying to put a pipeline into Alaska.

James, she had no absolutely idea what the Bush doctrine was. She avoided answering all of the hard questions in that interview. I just don't understand how you cannot see how misinformed and uneducated she is on these issues. That interview was a complete train wreck and Charles Gibson called her out on most of the questions. She could not back up any of her answers. Whenever he asked her to reiterate or explain herself, she kept throwing out blatant BS at him so they would move to the next question. If I were a supporter of government reform, something that Palin stressed her and McCain are in favor for in this interview, I would be at a loss for words after watching this. It looks as if she read transcripts of a bunch of old Bush interviews and ripped off his answers for these questions. If these are really their solutions, then get ready for another four years of Bushlike policies.

I didn't see that(I'll watch the news later before I go to sleep), but yeah that wasn't a smart thing to say. Majority of Clinton's policies weren't bad, so trying to attack Clinton makes no sense at all.

I don't care what she thinks about the Bush Doctrine. Its irrelevant. I don't care what she thinks about the Reagan or Clinton doctrines either.

What was a bit troubling in that interview is her foaming at the mouth desire over NATO expansion, but the liberals don't care about this because Obama advocates the same thing.

I just get the feeling Barack Obama really gets what's going on with the issue. Moreso than I. And so does Biden & McCain & alot of politicians who are in the national spotlight. Sarah Palin,  I'm just not buying it, at all. I get the feeling she memorized what to say off a batch of 3x5 cards over the last few nights.

Overall what have i learned about her so far? She's a nobody who portrays herself as somebody but by doing so comes off as someone who's in way over her head.

Well, regardless of how much she knows doesn't change the disturbing thought of expanding NATO's borders to Russia. It isn't in the best interests of this country(or NATO's), and its not an issue I can support. Is it a deal breaker for me? No, because both sides support it.

There's nothing Obama can say to make me believe in NATO expansion. It expanded enough in the 90's, and from comments straight from Moscow, they're not gonna allow any more expansion.

NATO needs to be put on the back burner for a few years.

This just gives her more creedence. If Israel decides to take out Iran, then they have my blessing. Iran ain't nothin' but towel wrappin' jew haters anyways, and if Iran makes one counter back, we'll go in with our nuclear arms. No problem with it whatsoever. It's time Islamic facism was wiped off the face of the earth. No different than the Nazis. Same goes for Lebanon.

As long as my ENEMIES are down with nuclear weapons, i'll be down with them. I'm all for - 19 - but they're gonna have to meet me in the middle.

As for myself, i'm not a Republican sir. I know that's hard to believe that some of us can be down for kicking ass and have a strong foreign & military policy, and also be a progressive thinker at the same time. 22

As for Palin, Charlie Gibson is a biased douche that HARDBALLED Palin (pardon the expression) in one the most obviously SEXIST tones and inflection-driven interviews ever. Gibson treated her like she was a dumb chick that he would walk right over, and she gave back as good as she got.

If you think i'm crazy, go see Gibson's interview with John Edwards from 2004. Seriously. He softballs that thing so bad, that I thought he was gonna get on his knees and start going down on Edwards.

So we should basically nuke an entire country where most of the people in the country are perfectly normal fine peaceful people because they might have a few racist, extremists. I mean in your country of America I'm pretty sure there must be a few fundamental extremists from many religions. We gonna nuke every US state to get rid of them?

Anyone who agrees with using nuclear weapons doesn't deserve a vote on anything. I mean you call Iran "jew haters" but just before it make a racist remark by calling them "towel wrappers". That's deregotary. I have a friend who is Iranian, his mother's Iranian and almost all of his relatives are. Are you suggesting I go and kill them. Here's some news for you. They are all about as left wing as you can get and none of them are

towel wrappin' jew haters

Grow up.
