So if you listen to all the commercial shit you have high self esteem, but if you're into some of the most sold and acclaimed albums ever you are a loser?

Gimme a fuckin' break.

I'll agree, some of the characterizations are interesting, but really it's just some vague bullshit.

I can see where they get these characterizations. For example  I am sure the popular people with a large social network are more likely to listen to the commercial shit than they are metal or classic rock. Those type of people tend to be more concerned with what's trendy.

However, they are generalizing a lot. Not everyone who listens to pop is going to have high self esteem and not everyone who listens to rock and metal will have low self esteem. My friend listens to pop and she is pretty much the opposite of everything listed for pop.

The Rock description is pretty accurate for me, but that doesn't mean everyone.

I think it's pretty outthere to establish that hypothesis, considering the fact they are probably psychologists and the first thing you should know is to not generalize. By saying that because you like reggae or rock your not hard working is an OLD stereotype and generalization. They're also saying that if you don't like hits radio, you must not be outgoing. So if I don't like Kanye West because he's shit, and he is, i'm not outgoing? Maybe I just think he sucks?

There's way too many variables here to ever nail down this assessment. I'm shocked they didn't put that if you like Rap you must be an unemployed black, and if you like Rock/Metal you must be white with a mullet and drive a Trans Am.

Wait a minute, not out going, not hard working?

Give me a fucking break.  There are some rock stars out there who bust their asses all the time but they aren't hard working?

This is a very stupid and poorly put together stereo typing.

I'm a Buckethead fan. I listen to him 90 percent of the time, and he covers almost all those genres pretty much. What does that make me?
