What/who are your favourite comedies (film or tv) and comedians?
Maybe you've seen someone in standup who you'd really recommend or a new comedy on tv?

Friends
I think Billy Connolly, Peter Kay and Ricky Gervais are awesome stand up comedians

I like Coupling but I wouldn't give it that much praise. A British version of Friends with weaker characters imo.

Denis Leary is by far my favorite. No Cure For Cancer, and Lock N Load are two of the best standup routines I've ever seen. I highly recommend them both. Lock N Load is probably a little bit better though.

He says himself he's not for everybody, but if you like your comedy edgy, for lack of a better word, I don't think it gets any better than Doug Stanhope.
