James I'm glad to see you've finally come around to McCain. A few months ago you rock solid for Obama, so I'm glad that some people are willing to objectively evaluate the candidates and get beyond the meaningless hope and change garbage Obama vomits on TV every night. McCain is far from perfect and I have some slight issues with Palin, but at least they're living in the real world and not fantasia or never never land.

I haven't fully "come around" to McCain as I do have issues with him(just like I did in 2000). However, Obama's candidacy is a house of cards and would basically take us back to some leftist utopia that would make the late 70's look like a paradise.
If I wont pull the lever for McCain/Palin, I wont even vote. I'm not gonna allow myself to have an Obama catastrophe on my conscience.
Then George H Bush happened. Then George W Bush happened.
Clinton did what Reagan did only he balanced the budget, not putting everything on a credit card like the GOP always seems to do by putting the nation into debt time after time.
Bush is only a conservative in name. I'm actually surprised you don't love him because he has spending policies that any liberal would love. Take away his tax cuts and his hawkish military stance and he's practically Jimmy Carter's brother.
Clinton was more of a conservative than Bush is(which isn't saying much). Clinton practically continued the Reagan Revolution in certain aspects. Bush destroyed them.

Now before you try and deny, you know how these bills are a bit muddy. Fuck, took me forever to find the damn thing again. This was an amendment to shift the money to Katrina relief. Biden, Obama, and tons of others voted no(which was a yes in reality).
Yes, I realize there was more at stake than this damn bridge, but it was in this bill.
Funny how the liberals preferred this pork over sending relief to Katrina victims, then the bloggers have the nerve to bitch out Palin over it, who is the person who killed the fucking thing.
Couldn't make this shit up in a million years.

Palin Moves Independents:
24 hours ago, independent voters nationwide were split on whether Palin was an asset or a liability to McCain's campaign. Today, by a 2:1 margin, independents say Palin is an asset. Overnight, the percentage calling the Alaska governor an asset to the campaign climbed 13 points; the percentage calling her a liability fell 17 points.
The numbers are similar among moderates, who 24 hours ago viewed Palin as a liability by an 11 point margin; today, Palin is seen as an asset by an 18 point margin.
Betting Line Changes:
24 hours ago, when asked if they would bet on Obama or McCain becoming president, Obama was a 16:15 favorite; today, it's flipped, and McCain is favored by the same ratio.
Grading the Speech:
Of those who watched Palin speak last night, 60% give the speech a grade of "A." When those giving lower grades are factored in and a standard grade point average computed on a 4-point scale, Palin scores a "B," overall. Among Republicans, she gets an "A-;" among Independents, a solid "B;" among Democrats, a "C."

She's now bringing in the independents, which the Obama brigade said was impossible. Why they thought it was impossible is mind boggling. Independents hate gutter politics. The Obama brigade are basically forcing independents and swing voters into voting McCain/Palin.

McCain TV Ratings Beat Obama in Preliminary Numbers

Presidential candidate John McCain's acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention drew more television viewers than his rival Barack Obama attracted at the Democratic party's event last week, according to preliminary ratings from Nielsen Media Research.
Across all broadcast networks Thursday, Sen. McCain's speech ended the night with a 4.8 rating/7 share, compared to Sen. Obama's 4.3/7 average, according to overnight numbers from metered households in 55 U.S. markets measured by Nielsen. These ratings are preliminary, however, and are subject to change.
NBC's coverage of Sen. McCain's speech started directly at the tail end of the opening game of NFL season, with the speech pulling in a 6.3 rating/10 share, topping Sen. Obama's speech last week by 26%. That lead-in may have boosted audiences who last night turned out in droves to watch Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin introduce herself to the country.
ABC's showing of the McCain speech averaged a 4.5/7, down 2% from the same night of the Democratic convention last week, while CBS' coverage took in a 3.4/5, an increase of 3%.
