Who ya gonna call?

Who do you want picking up the phone...Obama or McCain?

Well considering when the invasion of Georgia first occured the Prime Minister of Georgia himself called Joe Biden(Chairman of Senate Foreign Relations Committee), I would think he'd call him again.

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/20 … o-georgia/

BTW - Biden wasn't even VP choice at the time.

You're insane if you think Euro leaders are gonna call Joe Biden when the Russian bear gets a hard on for WWIII.

There's a time to be a liberal, and there's a time to be rational.

Be rational.:haha:

McCain just owned tonight. He is a true American with the experience to lead. Obama is nothing more than a popular fad.. Every American owes it to their country and their fellow Americans too make the right choice and that choice is McCain.

Look for yourself.. The media is so far up Obama's ass that they will catch a STD any day now.

For America and for it's people we need McCain.

Unfortunately I missed this speech(and the game) so I cant really comment. When I'm on a high speed connection I'll check it out.

I see no vision, no plan, no economic idea for change with these two.

I can say the same thing about Obama. Other than massive spending programs, he's nothing.

Palin was asked prematurely & jumped at the chance being totally unqualifed & unprepared.

She has more experience than Obama. Are you insinuating that Obama is unqualified and unprepared? I had a feeling you'd come around eventually.

I think the charade is going to collapse with the two of them anyway

That's just wishful thinking.

I swear the oil people & neocons are running this country & campaign, same old horseshit we've been thru.

We wont be able to answer that until after they win.

James, McCain did what he needed to. He did well, no doubt. He is a true American and a patriot like BLS said. It was enough to sway some people his way probably. If this were the old McCain I'd vote for him. But I don't like how he changed on so many issues to get the nomination. Who is the real McCain? The farther-right version we have now or the more moderate McCain of just a few years ago. I don't want to take the chance that he wouldn't moderate his views once elected.

I understand the issues some people have with McCain. If this was the "Maverick on the straight talk express" McCain, Obama wouldn't even be registering as a blip on the polls.

I hope dems realize that fact. People hesitating is why the two are basically even in the polls.

I have issues with him myself. The economy is in shambles. However, neither side has a solid plan in place. Do I choose massive spending programs, or do I choose a guy who will at least attempt to make a few cuts?

I'll take the guy making the cuts.

The war in Iraq is certainly taking its toll on our economy as well.  McCain wants to stay in there.

Last i heard, Barack wants to set up a timeline for withdrawl.  I'm not sure if he actually has a plan, because we really never get to hear about his 'plans'.  All we hear is him yelling change and Bush III- nothing about him.

Right now, i would like to see Obama get it, but i really need to hear more about his plans before making a decision.

Obama's Iraq plan is retreat. He has actually said we will withdraw, and if it gets bad we'll go back. McCain will bring that comment up in the debates, and Obama will stand there sucking his thumb.

The US can NOT retreat. It would be a massive political and humanitarian disaster. This is why McCain calls Obama the second Jimmy Carter. He is dangerous for this country.

Obama pulls out of Iraq, Russia walks in and fills the vacuum.

Question to saikin, CC, and other draft age Evo members:

Do you want to be drafted to fight Russia over land we had previously occupied?

Think long and hard before answering that question.

Oh, and since the liberals threw Obama's speech ratings in everyone's face, I am here to inform you that more people watched Palin's speech than Obama's.

40 million-Palin

38 million-Obama

Liberals will of course say this means nothing, but had that statistic been reversed, they would have been shouting from Everest.

I thought Obama did well on O'Reilly last night. O'Reilly even went so far as to compliment him on his "toughness". He said Obama is definitely no "wimp". The rest of the interview will be shown next week. This election, regardless of who you are for, is going to be very entertaining.

Typical Republican campaign, vote on fear. It's been going on since the 50's. Ughhhh, don't vote democrat, you'll lose a war & have a bunch of gays coming to your house to steal your guns & they'll raise your taxes too.. AhhhhH!!

Totally unfounded.

BREAKING NEWS: Unemployment up for 8th straght month, Dow Jones dropped 300 points yesterday.

Oh yeah, trickle down economics works like gangbusters.

Its a legitimate question. Just because you don't like what the majority of the answers will be doesn't invalidate the question.

Yeah, the 1980's were just soooooooooo bad. A booming economy, the dollar at its peak, gas flowing to our gas stations like Niagara Falls.

How did we make it through such a catastrophe?

Clinton did what Reagan did only he balanced the budget, not putting everything on a credit card like the GOP always seems to do by putting the nation into debt time after time.

It works like this, Republicans give tax breaks to the wealthy. The thinking is that they then have more money, and will spend more money, putting it into the economy creating new jobs, factories, retail, advertising etc etc. The reason I believe it doesn't work, and never will, is that the weatlhy, when given a break like that, don't go out to Best Buy or the mall to blow thousands on HDTV's or new clothes. or buy a new car... and that, above almost all else, is why I don't vote Republican. On social values, I believe they are personal beliefs, not government. If I got a girl pregnant, I would not want her to have an abortion, however if she was adamant that she wanted to, I couldn't stop her. Why should Sarah Palin?? Also, if people across the country are getting abortions, that's on them, and they have to face any guilt they may have or answer to their own maker. I believe people everywhere should be able to own a gun (unless they are felons/on parole), although I don't have a problem with background checks or local munincipalities requiring permits to carry if they want. I'm all for the Death Penalty. I believe sex ed absolutely should be taught in school, if parents want their kids to sit out, they can put them in study hall. It'd be good if schools taught a Religion course, covering all religion & explaining the differences in beliefs (Christian, Judaism, Muslim Hindu etc), however we all know that will never happen. Flag Burning is  a bogus issue that only comes up every 4 years. I'm still shocked that the military actually has 'don't ask don't tell' but like flag burning, isn't an issue to me. As for gay marraige, pretty bogus issue also, but I think "Marraige" is more of a religious thing, not government anyway. So if there's a church that "marries" gays, I guess it's legit. Barack is right though, they should have certain rights (hospital visits).
