Re: Mötley Crüe
I dig the record but live these guys need to step their game up again. I went to Cruefest with some yougins who'd never seen Crue before this year. I was talking Crue up (except Vince) the whole time and then Crue got completely and totally shown up by Buckcherry and Papa Roach because they phoned it in.
Really? I went to Crue Fest saturday and Motley killed it. Vince was great he hit all the notes. Buckcherry was also good but Motley was the highlight of the night.
Re: Mötley Crüe
naaaah corabi didn't have the same chemistry..and vinces voice can be impressive on records
I would say impressive is going way too far, but he is the signature voice of Motley Crue, and that's really all that matters for a lot of people.
I think the Corabi album is the best Crue album by far. To the point when people tell me they don't like it I'm legitimately confused. I'm also a fan of the things Corabi has done post-Crue, so I'm probably biased.
Obviously my opinion doesn't mean that much though, because not many people bought that record, and they immediately went back to Vince.
I don't mean to hammer on Vince that much either, I'm a fan (I did pay to see that concert that I mentioned earlier, but I think they might owe me my money back). To me they went from a really good band to a fantastic band with Corabi.

He has that 80s sound...i've never seen them live...but in the studio he seems to be able to pull that genre of singing off for what it is.

My thoughts exactly.
