Re: What do you think are the best produced albums?
I would say 'Dirt' is my favorite-ly produced album. Althpugh Superunknown and Pyromania, as you mentioned are also very well done.
Anyone want to say Hysteria? Hahahaha.
Re: What do you think are the best produced albums?
Yeah Dirt is a good one. I hadn't even thought of AIC when compiling my list.
As far as Hysteria goes, I would love for them to go back to the master tapes and tweek on that and wipe most of the polish off. That album would be badass with a much grittier sound.
Another album I would like to see tweeked on is And Justice for All. My fave Metallica album, but it could definitely be improved.

It's a given, but The Black Album to this day still sounds great to me. Those drums, those guitars, those vocals. Imagine Justice with that sound and production James!
Re: What do you think are the best produced albums?
Yeah, I remember years ago Bob Rock talking about that album. Said he wanted to try and get a "live" feel to the album which other Metallica records never had. I don't know about that, but it is definitely the most unique record production wise in their discography. It sounds so perfect yet not polished.
Re: What do you think are the best produced albums?
I think Butch Vig did a great job with Nevermind. Sure it's a little too polished, but maybe that's what makes it great. Take a little punk band & make it marketable, in 1991?!
Also Siamese Dream, by the Pumpkins. Great Album. Maybe Ritual De Lo Habitual by Jane's.
Glad to see Achtung Baby on here, that was probably going to be my first choice. So far ahead of it's time. Some of those songs sound like they could be released today. Speaking of which, where's Bono (the poster) he hasn't made it over to the new site yet has he??
