Re: Jack Osbourne: “‘The Osbournes’ Discredited Who My Father Isâ€
Yeah i think he's right...the show made Ozzy look bad...much like Metallica looked bad after 'some kind of monster'. These people need to understand they are rock gods and that people don't want to see their reality - they want to see the godlike versions of them kicking ass.
Then again - it probably also opened up BS and his solo stuff to a new generation. So i wouldn't stress too much.

That show was a joke. Tons of it was fake. I stopped watching when Jack was harassing their neighbors and the cops got called. You heard the sirens in the background and could also see the lights, and Jack was running and it was just waaaaaaay too perfect for that to not have been scripted. Too choreographed.
I hate reality shows.

I find it very hard to believe that their original contract was for the entire run of the show. So therefore, they ALL let it happen when they resigned for more seasons.
Yes it was a very funny show. But it was way to scripted, and it made ozzy look like an invalid.

The Osbournes made Ozzy look GOOD imo. Human, with flaws.
His persona in the past had been a batshit crazy drug addict who got his kicks sniffing ants off a sidewalk, licking up his own urine, and biting the heads off doves & bats.
And THE OSBOURNES, ruined his persona. He had always been a fucking trainwreck, the TV show just made him a loveable one.

i think it's sweet. jack loves his dad. and i agree with him, the show was not very complimentary to ozzy.
anyone who reads the lyrics he writes should be aware he is not an unintelligent man.
but how many times do i hear people insulting his intelligence based on assumptions made from watching the show? countless.
and what about the overprescribed medications issue from a few years back? anyone remember that?
