Anyone in possession of the entire 'Checkmate' demo who is interested in trading it for 19 mins of 2002 VMA rehearsal footage, please PM me to discuss arrangements.

No Checkmate thus far. But, the search has led to some other interesting "info" that will hopefully transpire into more.

It isn't that I "care". I have always been in the minority that thinks its not even a GNR song. Any attempts at getting the track will likely always lead to a dead end.

There will always be people looking for tracks. Hell, some people are still looking for 87-93 era tracks. Some are vocal about it, some aren't.
