It was absolutely disgusting.
Re: The 2008 Olympics thread
^^ It got pulled for copyright infringement. NBC sucks, they should have allowed posts on youtube during the Olympics. It would have helped a viral marketing of people watching it and some of the events and storylines & overall getting more interested in the games. I think they've been awesome so far.
Re: The 2008 Olympics thread
Last night had some good stuff. I saw the gymast (Sandra Johnson?) win the balance beam. She did great, there was a Romanian girl who was flawless. Although I think they said she had a lower degree of difficulty than the rest. Still almost perfect. A Lolo Jones hit the second to last hurdle while in first, ruining her chance for gold. The poor girl, they said was orphaned & in foster homes & moved once a year until high school she finally said she wanted to stay at one house to practice track. She took it really well though, they interviewed her & she just said it happens once in a while, & this time happened at the worst possible moment but there nothing she can do. "It usually happens about twice a year, today was one of them" I give her credit. Another American ended up winning, and she barely qualified for the team. She's from the same area as Jackie Joyner Kersey & said she advised her "On race day, anyone can win" and sure enough it happened.
And how about this Jamacian sprinter?? This guy is blazing!!
BTW - Did anyone see the Visa commercial about the guy who got a cramp in 1992 & his dad came out & walked with him to the finish line. Man, I almost forgot about that but that was one of the better Olympic moments in history.
