Will Ferrell IMO hasnt been funny since he left SNL.
Don't know if you've ever seen Anchorman, but that's one of my favorite comedies ever. Granted some could view it as sophmoric humor, but I think it's hilarious. Good cast too in the movie, which helped. The entire news team added a lot to the overall humor and quality of the movie. I agree his films since then have paled in comparison. This one looks like it has potential though. I'd give it a viewing.

Went last night with my gf and we both lost it at some points. It's not brilliant, but it's very well done and honest stupid-comedy. Congrats to Will and John for squeezing what may be the last of the laughs from the immature man-boy pool this decade.
It definiately earns its R, by the way. I didn't know it'd go so far at times. Like the drum set... eww.
And some of the jokes in the promos weren't even in the movie, which is very cool. A lot fo times in summer comedies all the funny jokes are in the previews, and there isn't any A material left to find just in the movie itself.
