Re: CC Deville meets Motorhead on new cd.
Motörhead mainman Lemmy Kilmister spoke to Livedaily.com about a number of topics including their new album Motorizer, the 20th official Motorhead studio album and first since 2006's Kiss Of Death.
"It's better than (2004's) Inferno, and Inferno seems to be the favorite of the later years so far," said the band's seemingly indestructible frontman, Lemmy Kilmister. "It's got better songs. Better arrangements and a better performance from me vocally, and a better performance from Phil Campbell on the guitar, he plays great on the songs."
Poison guitarist C.C. DeVille and Alice In Chains bassist Mike Inez both make guest appearances on the album, which is due in stores August 26th in North America, August 29th in Germany and September 1st in the rest of Europe. "I said to Mike: 'Do you wanna play on the album?' And he said: 'Sure.' He was all excited, you know, and he came down the next night, and he nailed it in about three takes, I think. It was really good, and CC did it in one take."

Don't know about CC, but Mike Inez would be cool to hear with Lemmy. I'm not much of a Motorhead fan, but I'll check out a song or two from this to see Inez's contributions.

CC Deville is actually something like a classically trained guitarist.. I agree I'm not sure about him on Motorhead but I wouldn't say it isn't possible that it's interesting.

I've seen him live and know a fair amount of Poison tunes, and really there's a lot of shit in his playing. I'm not a standard Poison-basher but sometimes he brings out scales that just have no place in the song.

Agreed. I only know his Poison work, but i know enough of that to know he's not a guitarist i really like.

CC DeVille & Lemmy...
I don't EVER... EVER... want to hear ANYTHING... ever again about Lemmy being God.
And I thought Axl hanging out with Bon Jovi was bad.
When did Axl and Bon Jovi hang out? I totally missed this.

The reason Lemmy Is God is because he can bring in C.C. and it'll probably still be cool. More specifically than that, it'll just sound like Motorhead always sounds.
If I ever hear what Axl did with Shaq and it's cool, then I'll elevate Axl to god status as well, but I'm not counting on it.
I'm very intrigued by Mike Inez though. Two bass players.... Big Bottom!

Back in 2006 I want to say, Baz made a comment how he was hanging out with Axl, Lars Ulrich & Jon Bon Jovi.

Wonder if he again offered Jon the chance to :bj: him ?
Haha..those four guys hanging out = a lot of big personalities and talent in one place though that's for sure!
