From my understanding, Kid is a big fan and was cool with Axl I believe. That's how he got up there. In an ironic story, I had a guy who I used to work with that was a big Guns fan. But he was a TOTAL Slashite. Thought Axl was satan himself. But he was also a big Kid Rock fan. When I told him in 2006 that Axl & Kid dueted on Paradise City in NYC, he was actually disappointed in Kid for sinking to such a low level.

Dont get me wrong, If I wanted an easy listening album to listen to with my parents I'd put it on. But as a Kid Rock album, I think I could have done better.
But on the plus side, he's apparently working on an album with Run from Run DMC, could be cool.

I liked the album. the past feew have all been leading up too this sound. He is doing an album with Run. It's called Runnin' With the Kid. His next new record will be back too hip hop.
