The girl is definitely the "X factor" in all of this. If its just a random drug deal/rip off gone wrong, the girl being abducted was a bizarre way for it to end. Drug dealers would likely murder all the occupants on the spot, not single one out. Take her away alive from the scene, it increases chances of an escape.
As of right now I would think she was the main target, although I don't know enough about the case to really latch on to a specific theory.
Did law enforcement ever consider a link between this and "The Girl Scout Murders"?

i havent heard of the girl scout murders. ill look that one up. another bizarre twist is that they three boys in the back werent touched. you would think that someone hat was on a rampage would look in every room to make sure no one was in there watching. kind of why a lot of people think justin knew the killers.

That case is even more baffling than this one, and it should have got major mainstream attention back then.
On topic, I agree that leaving so many potential witnesses is a definite sign that the killer(s) were there for a specific reason.

What a bunch of bullshit. You are selling this, and not just that(I can handle that), you don't even show how much it costs. People are supposed to email you just to get a figure. Then, the only sample you have is a tiny clip on myspace which shows nothing.
Why even have the site if you aren't even gonna list a price for what you're selling?
