I didn't like Kirsten either...

I think Spider-Man is a much cooler and more interesting character than Bats though. Batman is almost always extremely lame... even the 90s cartoon show is just so-so. Other than Begins, and some of the darker representations of Batman, I'd rather skip him. The two Burton films and the two Schumacher films all blow. Adam West's Batman is hilarious of course.

The 90's Batman cartoon is awesome. It's one of the best adaptations of the character.

It's got a lot of snoozer episodes though. For being given essentially a carte blanche on what they could show, it's missing quite a bit. Character development only really happens with the A-list villains, a lot of stories involve simple thugs that are very forgettable. Kevin Conroy is a great Bruce-Batman voice though. Some classic episodes, and it's better than most cartoons, but there's a lot of fat to be trimmed in its run.

The Spidey cartoon from the 90s on the other hand, is pure gold. And they did it without the ability to have guns that shot bullets, without being able to say the word die, and without being able to show Spidey punching anybody.

Anyways... TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT!!!! MIDNIGHT CANNOT COME QUICK ENOUGH!!!

Amen brotha

Well I will agree that Spidey is awesome too. And that there's plenty of lame episodes of B:TAS. But when they got it right, they REALLY got it right. They created Harley Quinn. They created an awesome origin for Mr. Freeze. Both of those have been major contributions to the Batman mythos, so much so that the comics copied it. Plus Conroy was awesome and so was Hammill. And they understood the big villains. Two-Face and Riddler were done very well, as they always should have been treated (dark, serious). Spidey, X-Men, and Batman are my 3 favorite cartoons ever. Too bad they don't make 'em like they used to eh?

If you want to lower your expectations for TDK, just watch this piece of shit and TDK will be the best movie you've ever seen. LOL.

So when can you guys in the states go and see TDK?  It was premiered last night here in Perth and I just checked my local theatre and there's session times all day today?

I mean I know you guys are behind us in time, but it still seems like it's a day later even after allowing for that?

Aussie, it begins showing on the east coast in just 25 minutes. For Central time zone, 1 hour and 25 minutes. And on the West coast, that's 3 hours and 25 minutes.

Midnight showings are selling out like crazy. It might break Revenge of the Sith's $16.9 million midnight record. By the way, just so you guys get an idea of how big that is, Batman Begins made $15 million for its entire opening day in 2005.
