Re: Current Events...

Nancy Pelosi definitely looked like a dipshit tonight. How did stabbing Joe Biden in the back work for ya? Oh ya, you've got this dipshit in tariffing their closest trade ally Canada.

I don't think Kamala would be just as bad as Trump.

Over the last two months you've witnessed the Post WW2 era over.

America retreating.

Being cozy to Putin and Russia. What a joke.

As a Canadian watching the State of the Union tonight what a joke. All cheering for an absolute dipshit. And the Democrats just sitting there with their signs. Instead of taking action like Al Green and all leaving the speech. They couldn't even do that.

All I know is when you piss off your closest ally over bullshit, good luck. It just goes to show how unreliable America will be for the next while, and even then. Why would you do business with a country that has elected this dipshit once again?

Say what you will about Biden he had a strong economy and didn't manage to piss off his allies.

Good luck America. I mean the Empire has been dying since the Reagan days, but, wow.

There is no way in hell Greenland, or the Panama Canal will ever come under US control. Let alone Canada.

The best thing that Trump has done is unite the West on the fact that America will be abdicating its role as a leader. It has brought out Canadian Nationalism.

This 51st State shit he says to us is a joke too. How did Iraq and Afghanistan work out? Let alone Vietnam. Any invasion on Canada would result in those type of quagmires.

I largely think Nationalism is a dumb concept. As at the end of the day all it is money, and class that is important, but, wow. Never felt I'd say I'm proud to be Canadian.

I believe their will be long term ramifications for this too. Like even if these tariffs get rescinded it goes to show that America can not be relied upon. As they don't keep their word to their agreements.

I for one hope my country makes closer ties to the European Union and joins it as a non-member state, or over the fact we share a border with Denmark.

You guys have some of the nicest people, I think way more nice than Canadians. But, the fact a lot of folks (not black americans) voted for this dipshit, like yikes. Good luck with that educational system.

The Republican Party is all but a cult of Trump, and the Democrats have no balls.

Wow that's a mouthful...I think you should go ahead and do all that. I'm not sure what would make Canada happy at this point...you hate your own PM and our president.

Never forget that if it weren't for the horrible mishandling of the 2024 race by the dems (never seen anything like how horrible they approached it) Trump wouldn't be president. Kamala was the perfect DEI candidate. She was black or indian depending on the day and of course, a woman.

What a joke.

Justin Trudeau was a bit unpopular, however, no Western leaders weathered inflation and the COVID storm. Not his fault. Some stuff he did I didn’t like, overall happy with what he contributed to my country. So no I don’t hate my PM.

Biden should have been the Dems candidate. I don’t think DEI applies on the fact Kamala was the nominee nor does it matter she lost. And don’t give a shit about her racial background, never mattered.

I like that millions of people can cross the border no problem but when citizens want them out the government has no way to quickly deport them. Guess what? If 10 people get in for every 1 that can be booted, we are fucked.

People say “due process!!!!” but I guarantee if an actual citizen were hypothetically caught up in something like this they would pull out their driver’s license, social security number, birth certificate, passport… in like 2 seconds flat and it’s OVER.

I’m tired of the red herring implying actual citizens are at risk of being caught up in this. “Due process” is being used to prevent ANY deportation… because that sounds better and is more persuasive to normies than flat out saying “we want all illegal immigrants to stay forever! Open borders!”

It’s pretty sick. If the judicial system can’t figure it out you really have to wonder WTF they are here for. Maybe just to punish law abiding citizens. This goes for all the government really.

The idea of citizens vs foreigners goes back to Plato and the Bible… there’s no point in a nation if you confer no benefit or exclusiveness to citizenship.

Anyway just ranting. Cheers everyone.

I couldn't agree more, Jack.

There are no rules here. A significant portion of democrats would get rid of me just for being a white man and exchange me for dozens of illegal families while they virtue signal on social media. When push comes to shove these people do nothing but pat themselves on the back and contribute nothing to help the situation.

It'll be interesting to see what happens to all the sanctuary  cities where they attract and house these people at the expense of the citizens. Theyll raise taxes to care of illegals and give nothing back to the actual tax payer.

Chicago's mayor has an approval rating of between 6-13% and I'll be they'll pick someone even worse after him. There's no way Chicago can sustain this. It'll be a war zone eventually. Anyone with the means will leave. Those that are left will fight over crumbs.

Yeah mitchejw, it’s a crazy world we are living in. Like you said about Chicago, even with approval ratings that low, the replacement will be worse.

I hope the country can turn around somehow for the better but it is looking bad if we can’t deal with an obvious problem…
