Yeah there was genuine excitement surrounding the release of this album. My favorite time lurking at the Buckethead forum.
A few months (or however long) before the albums release, he was touring and played an unknown song.
The bots went bat shit crazy. Someone finally bootlegged one of the shows and uploaded the song.
They called it 'Mellow Wedge'.
Everyone... including me... instantly fell in love with it.
This song wound up being Soothsayer.

This pike is pretty great. Probably lots of amazing stuff undiscovered in there.
Bucket is basically going the Zappa route of low cost drum machine band members.
Wish the guy would take a final stab at a big rock album

I wish one of his hardcore fans would write some sort of guide book on his massive discography with proper descriptions and categories.
It would make it so much easier to browse through his material.

Buckethead never ceases to amaze me. Buckethead is what Vince McMahon used to say all the time in the WWF on TV and that is #UNBELIEVABLE
