This is one of the problems with the hyper partisan polarization in our culture wars.

Get a whiff of the far right supporting Israel, they gotta go balls deep in their support of Hamas. They don't care how awful this looks now and how much worse it's going to look further down the road.

For fucks sake...the Squad had to vote no in support of Israel.

Painting Trump as Hitler is psychotic. You can criticize Trump all day and night but he was a huge supporter of Israel.

We're witnessing the brain death of the far left.

James - is it not possible to denounce Hamas attacks and Hamas without also questioning Israel’s occupancy of the territory and the fact they can do literally whatever they want to restrict necessary resources to live to innocent Palestinians? The hyper-polarization you are talking about is exactly what you are doing. You are over-generalizing the left, LGBTQ community, and rejecting nuance. That is polarizing.

Qanon is a liberal thing, really. They want them to be relevant so badly. Even republicans goof on them. They’re such a small minority of tinfoil hats who have always existed (used to be black helicopters).

It’s just like white supremacy. They were treating it as the greatest threat to the nation, when in reality they used it as a slur to discredit anyone who disagreed with them. Of course they exist, and yeah there are some who are dangerous. But look at the rampant anti semitism going on from the left right now. This has exposed the greatest hypocrisy I’ve ever witnessed. I never thought it would come out so brazenly. No one wanted to mention that the rise in hate crimes were from black men, not white men, especially against Jews and Asians.

Yeah the ignoring of hate crimes against Asians was bat shit insane.

I was also getting sick of the outrage over mass shootings...constant yelling unless the shooter was trans or a liberal. As soon as that came out... crickets.

Q anon is just groups of conspiracy people yelling about the deep state and pizza gate.

Funny that the fat left hates people who talk about child sex trafficking rings but support groups actually raping and killing children.

The masks had been slipping off for awhile and the Hamas terrorist attack caused them to say fuck it and rip the masks completely off.

We've never seen either side sink this low before. Their whataboutisms aren't even going to work anymore.

What about Trump?

What about him? He's not supporting Hamas!

What about kids in cages?

What about em? Better to be in a cage on the border temporarily than thrown into ovens while their mothers get raped.

What about "trans rights"?

What about em? You blindly support a group who throws them off buildings.

List goes on and on...

They've painted themselves into a corner.

The Squad needs to be tossed out of office in the next election.

Agree with it’s okay to criticize Israel, but this isn’t what’s happening. It’s just totally odd that progressives are in lock step on everything, whether it’s trans tights, Israel, anti capitalism, environmental policies (that don’t actually help the environment), censorship, racial and social issues, law enforcement, not prosecuting criminals etc etc etc

How is it there’s not any nuance here? Almost an entire generation thinks the exact same way on all things, while Republicans can’t even agree on their own speaker. That is terrifying. It also is telling the amount of money progressives have invested in school boards, teacher unions and universities. Now socialism is seen in a better light with zoomers than the United States itself. I’m a liberal more than a conservative, and progressivism is NOT liberalism

I'm posting exactly what they are doing. Do you really need me to post a mile long list of Twitter or Reddit examples of this shit?

I said it was the lunatic fringe on the left doing this. Nobody is saying it's the entire left condoning this shit. I've noticed this same tactic used elsewhere. If you dare criticize, it means you're aiming it at everyone on the left. It's an attempt to silence any critics of this madness.

Yes...it's possible to denounce those attacks without going over the history of Israel-Palestine.

If people can condone it without going over the general issue with a fine tooth comb, you can sure as shit denounce it.

It’s a good barometer of how those people think. I’m not sure about the Hillary popularity over there though. And Trump had a significant voting block of people who wouldn’t admit they voted for him 16

I don't think I ever said the entire nation supported it.

Tons of people and various groups have their own Twitter pages. They post how they feel on various issues and aren't trying to hide it.

The shit they are saying on TikTok and Instagram is much worse but I don't use those platforms.

This reminds me of feminists being banned on Reddit for "hate speech" when all they were doing is posting links to Twitter pages proving what those people were saying.

It was ok for the extremists to say whatever they want...but a bannable offense to have a problem with what they were saying.

There's the declaration signed by those students at Columbia.

10/7 wasn't a terrorist attack. It was a "counter offensive".

These people are maniacs. In a normal world, there wouldn't be people lining up to defend them.

The massacre was apparently an "act of liberation".

Why get bent out of shape over this?  This world view isn’t new, it’s been the predominant view of leftist policies since at least the 70s, and has been mainstream progressive orthodox since the late 90s. This isn’t the first time Israeli children have been raped and murdered by the militant wing of the official Palestinian authority.

I don’t know if you forgot, but jihadis have never hesitated to use child murder and torture as a suppression tactic. They genuinely believe the invisible man in he sky justifies these atrocious acts because Jews are literally Satan and America’s their lapdog.

Those supporting them certainly haven’t forgotten.  The last time the Palestinians held an election, they voted 95% for candidates that support the genocide of Israel.

A counter offensive. Yeah, right. You do a counter offensive when you fight soldiers. Attacking civilians and destroying them by evisceration, beheading, shooting at them, etc is overkill. Here Rishi Sunak (UK PM) said it was a "pogrom".

It is a sad fact that universities are full of very questionable teachers, some of whom advocate the holocaust never existed, while others support terrorism,  etc...

I was checking Charlie Hebdo and the chief editor said what happened on 7 October and afterwards  is reminiscent of this

I find it very interesting, because France had to give up on Algeria a few years later. I have a feeling that Israel's days are numbered. I may be wrong.  There is a whole coalition of people who are actively trying to get a Palestine state recognised.
I don't know if it is recent or not, as there are periods where I don't really read the papers, but I have noticed that in the French papers and even on the government's website, Israelis are referred to as  "settlers".  Maybe it's been like this for a while. But it shows that people are questioning and denying the right of Israel to exist....
