Am I to surmise your lack of a review as disappointment James?
I only got to listen to it a couple times and then was gone all weekend. Mainly watched/read about the war since getting back.
Listened again today.
Best song...
Shocking that he hit one final home run. Didn't know he had it in him.
That and Sweet Sounds of Heaven are the main highlights.
Whole Wide World and Depending On You pretty good.
I'll say this though...it's definitely missing something Not just Charlie.
The backing vocals don't seem as distinctive as they do on most Stones albums. I'm also wondering how much if any AI was used because their vocals just seem too crisp for men in their 80s. Listen to a recent Keith interview...then listen to Tell Me Straight.
I need to listen more before fully judging it. More songs may stand out.
Right now I'll say...
Not as good as Steel Wheels or Voodoo Lounge...better than Babylon and Bigger Bang.
I still gotta listen to the new Waters album. Only heard it that first day.
