It's the complete lack of any sort of professionalism about the delay that is infuriating. This is one of the biggest bands in the world, turning over many millions a year. Their record label is huge and yet they allow behaviour like this.
Delays can happen, things outside of your control can happen. Whether it's production, logistics or licencing issues etc. It's how you respond to that and stage manage the expectations that can shape how you are judged. If they knew there was going to be a delay, just come out and update people, particularly those who placed an order.
Instead we just get radio silence and it becomes very hard to ignore the possibility this is all related to one man and his stubbornness.

Yes it is unprofessional in the umpteenth degree. I've had my dealings with unprofessional people in business and they might not do everything top notch, but they usually do deliver something.
This band is not in this league. This is simply a joke. A clown show. It's like they are deliberately taking the piss.

I'll be freaking honest. I thought they had this thing under control and would roll it out like a normal band and well would get the fan base excited again. They rolled out a video for the first time in ages. But that might have been pure luck.
I should have been more cynical like Lofton and Sky Dog.

The chimps probably could have gotten us the 92 TIL with Thyme intro.
